It appears that is not The Force Awakens teaser. Misc footage from film and trailers edited similarly to The Last Jedi teaser.
Yeh its not. Its from youtube vid but put on Twitter cos you know. RTs and such are important.
Of course not clarified :P

But tbh, I do like the parallels.

Very underwhelmed by the trailer.

Was hoping Kylo Ren would have figured out how to upgrade his lightsaber by now.

By the way, I don't know if many people realised, but "Jedi" is meant as plural in the title. So it doesn't only refer to Luke.
I read yesterday that Johnson has said he thinks of it as singular?

I forgot, why exactly was she sent to search for Luke? And train with him? I mean, the audience knows about her being all force strong and all, but have the other characters talked about it?
She got drawn into the search for Luke. The Republic Forces were looking for him to get his aid in fighting the First Order. The whole map to Luke thing got going, stolen from the baddies, chance meet up with Rey, and all that followed was building towards her ending up going to find Luke.

Well, the international titles all make it sound plural...and he just said "in his head". So, still. At the very least, it's ambigous I would say.
That's interesting, it's the same in all languages?

It's still very ambiguous in my head too, as I mentioned earlier the poster makes it look like the plural, but at the same time to all intents and purposes Luke is the last Jedi left, given Ren can hardly be called one any longer and as for Rey

I'm not sure it'll make much difference either way to the overall story, I love Star Wars but there's usually very little doubt where the main arc will finish up, and they won't be killing off the Jedi.

Actually not all of them. Interesting.

I know that it's plural in German and Spanish. Think I've read an article saying that it's plural in other languages as well.

That sentence from Luke about the Jedi ending could be at the beginning of the movie, when he's lost faith in the whole thing and then Rey convinces him to train her.

I thought the same till I saw what they're parodying - it deserves infinite parodies

NSFL:
Yeah but the whole taking-the-piss-out-of-Collider thing is going to get old fast I reckon. It was funny the first couple of times.

Yes, in this video they basically parodied ads, pretty nicely, but not any of the content (I guess they're done with that). Still, I saw Collider for the 1st time ever after seeing the parody yesterday and it was so cringeworthy I stopped every 15 seconds.

What were they parodying in the latest episode if not Collider/Jedi Council? I assumed that's pretty much what all the episodes were doing. If you look for something called Collider Jedi Council on YouTube they have an identical setup but the things they say are, depressingly, entirely sincere.

Wasnt a huge fan of TFA - it was far, far too similar to A New Hope, with some impressive plot holes. This one doesnt look like it is going to do anything much different either, but just rehash and repeat old storylines and themes.

I thought the new trilogy would be a great opportunity to really reinvigorate the Star Wars universe and set the scenes for some incredible movies. Unfortunately 'they' seem to only want to look backwards, not forwards, and reluctant to take the movies anywhere new.

What were the plot holes?

When Luke first whips his light saber out and starts stomping foes it's gonna be to much bad ass for me to handle.

Same, and one of the reasons I'm not that fussed on it. Star Wars has since 1983 made the mistake of every film being some sort of prequel. Then we finally get new stuff and what do they do? They make the same fecking movie as the first one. I heard loads of arguments saying 'well they had to remake ANH and introduce it to a new generation of kids..' What? Don't they have the DVD? Why would they need to watch the exact same film done with different actors?

Looking backwards in both the prequels and Rogue One meant that those films lost most of their tension. Why set films in the past, we know what happened! Then they break this trend but still manage to rehash trodden ground.

When Vader appeared in Rogue One I could not stop smiling. It was incredible to actually see Vader on screen again. I imagine it'll be the same for Luke. I just hope they give him some badass scenes.

I don't think Luke should use a lightsaber, might look too Yoda/Obi-Wan in the original-ish. Just make him a force god.

It is kind of weird that I am more excited about the new season of Star Wars: Rebels rather than this new movie. The Force Awakens was technically beautiful but it was actually more a remake rather than a new movie, and that didn't work for me. Oh well, I still have the prequels.

I sense you will not rest until you can convince a single person that the prequels are anything but pure Lucas-in-charge-and-allowed-to-do-whatever-he-wants shite. High as a kite you are.

:lol::lol:

Oh, they have totally awful writing and pathetic acting (bar the third one), but I genuinely think that the story was kind of great, while The Force Awakens was a remake that made no sense. Sure, the jokes were a million times better and the acting of the entire cast is probably the best one in the saga, but still, I kind of didn't feel much for it considering that it was just a rehash of A New Hope.

The Rogue One was much better, I though.

What's with Star Wars and stupid hair? Just because Leia had stupid hair one time doesn't make it a thing.

I'm looking forward to it, even though Rey is a shit character and her mouth is too big to be on a human face.
