He was better than most of the players on the field. Showed more energy and tried to make some attacking play.

Impossible situation to come on to. He's technically really good, just not the team or maybe league for him.

Dont think we will see him for a bit now.
He didnt do a lot to make you think he should be starting matches nor coming on ahead of some others to change matches.

He was fecking shite as always. Overrunning the ball. Bad first touch. Not really knowing what to do with the ball. He's a nothing player.

For a player under pressure I thought he did alright to be fair, better than those around him at that stage

I actually thought he was a Tevez-esque player when we bought him but he's the complete opposite. He makes no effort to shield the ball with his body so is just so easy to tackle, he has no control whe he runs with the ball and his first touch is poor. He was still better than other attackers tonight but can't see a way back for him.

Was decent today but I wouldn't blame the club or league for his lack of form.
Honestly I'm not sure whether it's form or the style of play. When we play on the front foot he looks much better and his form to me appear to drop the more defensive we've become.

Well he looked threatening. Dont want to over do the negativity around here at the moment.
I dont think he did. Whilst he had space to run into, the times he did, he wouldnt actually do much with it.

Look lively, and not bad performance, but not sure this would get him back as option. Not impactful enough while his usual error is still not ironed out. We're already have plenty of error prone players to iron out in same XI. Unless Mkhi gets his A game on, pretty much I don't see this outing would do him any good.

Tough but good assessment inexplicably error prone too.

If we can get £35 million for him in January we should take it without a moments hesitation.

Was actually good. He had the space to drive into.
Why dont we make space during our games to make space for Mkhi to run into? When we possess the ball and attack with it, its pretty annoying and simple. The opposite teams have learned to defend well against us and yet we dont counter well enough against a better opponent where we park the bus.

I agree this game we have problem with attitude where the front men don't make good movement. All trying to be the man where the assist ball should be sent. However, to spin this game as our overall approach is misleading. Other games it's on Mikh for not supporting the forwards well, misplacing pass, over dribbling... And no 10 when not free to do final ball to forward, they can at least link up with midfield, being tidy. Mkhi even this game for all the positives of being lively is not tidy. If our forwards were having good game, then Mkhi performance is not even worth mentioning. It's not bad but nothing.

I was more getting at the comparing him to the Hazard fee.
Thats like me saying Chelsea way overspent on Hazard, because we bought Ronaldo for 12m
Sorry I was saying that saf turned down Hazard as he wasn’t worth the extra money and signed Kagawa for about £5m less. I couldn’t believe it at the time and now I look back and think what an obvious and deluded mistake, a bit like the Moyes appointment. A lot of our issues are down to bloody awful decisions like this this prior to our actual decline.

When you talk about SAF you need to know it's not about being penny picking, but him having his principle. It looks like a mistake in this case and his outdated approach to work with agents who growing more and more powerful. However, SAF did plenty right things to outdo his wrong too. Missing player like Hazard is huge blow but we won the league despite the fact. The real problem is maintaining SAF's standard which we have fallen way short since his retirement. Bringing this up now doesn't matter one bit. Time to move on.

He should have taken the game by the scruff of the neck and bossed it. Sell him asap and get in a top quality replacement.

De Gea conceded 4 against MK fecking Dons. Never a United player.

What does us losing to bristol city have to do with anything? We lost to a 3rd division Leeds United with Sir Alex Ferguson in charge, at Old Trafford, with Giggs and Rooney on the pitch. Were they not "United players"? Or De Gea conceding 4 vs MK Dons as PepsiCola says. Or every other time a cup upset happens. It fecking happens, it's nothing to get all dramatic about.

Saying that, I don't think Mkhitaryan is consistent enough to be seen as a first choice player, and probably should be sold. But that has nothing to do with this one performance.

Cause he had the likes of Janko, Evans, Keane, Blackett and Reece James in front of him. Probably.

Anyway no one is blaming Romero for tonight. It’s more about the gutless performance from the outfield players. It’s inexcusable losing to the likes of these.

Vermijl, not Blackett. Blackett helped us concede 5 against Leicester a few weeks later though.

Who's supposed to be dumb enough to fork out that sum?
If you can get half of that, you should consider yourself lucky. He'll sit out his contract anyway.

I'm not a fan of Mkhi either, but let's not pretend that we've never been beaten in the cups by non-PL opposition. Fergie played pretty strong teams against Crystal Palace and Leeds United not that many years ago and we got dumped out of cups on our own patch. Cup upsets happen. It doesn't mean every player on the pitch isn't a "United player".

Mkhi wasn't the reason we lost last night. Rojo, Darmian and Blind were most at fault overall, and Romero should have done better on the 2nd goal - he jumped over it!

Seems to get terrible yips in very much the same way Rooney did when off form; even his basic control goes. Players like that need to demonstrate a very high on-form ceiling to compensate.

Personally, I think there is a quality #10 in there somewhere, though we may not see that player in a Utd shirt. Probably tear it up somewhere else if/when he gets sold. At the moment, he's a long, long way behind Lingard for a prem starting place.
