Bloody hell, I hope this gets announced before I hit the gym in a few hours. The news will provide me with the same buzz as taking pre-workout!

This is taking far too long just chuck Raiola and Micky a tractor and be done with it.

Looking like we won't be able to see Sanchez in the squad for Burnley. Not asking for an official announcement, but there has been zero news of any movement at all so far today. Really lean pickings.

Yes, I think that's were Mou will play him, at least from the start. Our "problems" on the attacking field is the right wing, we have no player who's gifted enough there. Martial and Rashford are clearly better on the left, Mata is no winger and are much better more central. The same can be said about Lingard, even though he's problary our best suited player for the right wing at the moment, but he's better more central too. Sanchez is not the same type of player as Martial / Rashford, who likes to cut inside right from the left. Sanchez does this equally good from the right, as he is more two-footed, and don't rely on this as much as Martial / Rashford does, in my opinion.

It remains to be seen of course, but I think Mou has the right wing in mind for Sanchez.

Edit...
Misunderstood your question a bit. You asked if Sanchez himself sees him play on the right.
I don't think he cares where he plays, he knows he can be equally good everywhere he plays.
Think he played on the right for Udinese before moving to Barcelona

It's strange people still thinking he will feature against Burnley. He hasn't even trained with his team mates and we are away tomorrow at 3pm.

If this gets over the line today, and with 12 days in the window still remaining, we would need more targets. A central midfielder incoming with Fellaini & Darmian leaving would make this a fantastic window.

Ladies and gents can I just say:

This time last week we were linked with Lucas Moura. Just a few days later and it looks like we're possibly going to be signing one of the best players in the league.

Have patience :)

Hey, Oldham fan here. Got a few questions for a few of you.

1. Is Alexis Sanchez worth the wages that are being offered to Manchester United, and how will that have an impact on future transfer windows- if let's say his wages stop United from landing a top target like Bale who would command a similar wage?

2. Would any players be offloaded to fund this deal? Where does this leave Juan Mata, with the current contract situation, will he have to leave?

3. Was this transfer, worth it just to stop City and Pep from further pulling away? Are there not other younger targets who United could have got on less wages/more value for money, or is it worth it to United to act now before he moved to City?

4. Where do some of you think Sanchez will play and who will come out of the side for him?

5. Who would you want United to target in the summer to go alongside Sanchez? How many players will be brought in? Does this mean Griezmann isn't a target and will City/Chelsea move for him instead? If he signed for either one, how would you feel about that?

6. What do you think Sanchez will bring to the team and for the rest of the season? Will his impact help you catch City?

Personally I think it's a gamble but it's a gamble worth taking due to the current situation United are in, and looking at City- they're flying and adding Sanchez would be even worse for everyone else in the league. So I think United needed to act now- whatever the price.
1. When have the reports ever been accurate? No-one will know what he's actually earning and from what sources. And if he is earning a crazy amount, the club know their own finances better than us, I'm sure they'll have spent a fair amount if time thinking it through.

2. Jose stated he wants a 22 man squad. With Mhiki going we still have a 22 man squad.

3. Yes. And were getting a world class forward for free who can play a position we're currently lacking in. This is a great deal for all involved, anyone that can't see it is being deliberately naive.

4. I'd like to see him on the right, with martial and Lingard on left and centre. But if course with options we can mix it up to suit who's in form.

5. I honestly don't know. I think a backup right back and midfielders will become more important.

6. Goals. Spark. Excitement. Dogs.

Out of interest, how is this a gamble? We're swapping an underperforming player for a top class one of the same position and age for free. Obviously we're gonna pay him more, he's a better player, but it's not going to destroy our wage structure.

It's a film I don't want to watch, but can't take my eyes off.

Picture the scene..Press room filled with journos ready with questions, they’re waiting and waiting suddenly José stumbles in with two dogs and an open bottle of Casillero Del Diablo, Slurring his words he says “Money over Pep” and “these dogs have never been accused of match-fixing” all of a sudden pyrotechnics go crazy a group of Chilean miners are carrying Sanchez in the air like a god, the journos go wild and José confirms he starts Saturday at Burnley.
:lol::lol::lol:

Don't think it's important we crowbar him into the squad at Burnley. It's not gonna happen. Still reckon he and Mkhi travel today though.

Sanchez is the only man who can eat an apple through a tennis racket while shouting at Giroud for celebrating like a prick at the same time.

So today is the day.

Mhiki-Sanchez swap?

I like Mhiki but he isn’t consistent enough, always hot and cold specially this season. To swap him with a ready made world class player is one of the deals of the millennium.

Sanchez is someone who is fit to wear the number 7.
