I just don't want to see another attacking player ruined at United. This guy for me was the best player in the Premier League for a while. Surely he will do the business.
Well, he has the best excuse ever: he'll be played out of position.

I can never tell if irony or not on t’internet.
Properly English?
This looks a done dealio and I'm gonna tempt fate. See this page https://www.redcafe.net/players/2017-18/all :nervous:

He's not active yet so can't be chosen for lineup predictions etc but once that announcement is made...

How dare you post something without a glaring error. You're the boss right?

Man makes movie to Manchester, but, could also sign for champions.

Twitter. Man but signs from another club, can happen 24 hours. Maybe 500 chilliens in exchange for Ian Bush.

I’m glad he actually looks happy. Makes me feel less bad about it all. That means it’s actually a good deal for him too.
Yeah, he might have got a raise plus a big pay check. United might want to make this look like a genuine straight swap.

I said ages ago that I couldnt understand why we werent in for Alexis or at least making some effort as opposed to City having a free run at him. Then we pretty much steal him from under their noses. Awesome.

Still cant believe its happening. And even better its in a swap deal for a player that is the very definition of hot and cold.

Ed Woodward take a bow.

Yeah, it seems the obvious choice. With regards to the formation, it's probably the best fit now, but I hope we end up getting another top level midfielder in the summer. Freeing Pogba in a 433. Would also be interesting to see what a team with more pace and creativity can do with a Martial up top. Unlikely, but would be interesting in terms of tempo and fluidity.

I think a midfielder is a must. Matic has looked really knackered these last couple of weeks. Can't blame him really - he never gets a rest. A top midfielder to come in and rotate with him would be great for us. We lose that midfield battle sometimes, especially in the transition when we get countered on.

wonder what people in Chile think of this. these days a substantial amount of people that i see from south america on twitter are "city fans", which is explainable since they are playing well and all but yeah, would like to have some insight into how the chilean football fans feel about this

Just like to mention that I played my part in making this happen I feel. Used my history of being a jinx with betting and placed a bet on Alexis signing for city. So I'm happy to take any thanks coming my way

Martial, Lukaku, Rashford & Lingard are all scoring goals...

Easily yeah. We will easily pump out another 50 pages from when he is spotted travelling/arriving at Carrington to the end of the medical. When there is pics of him arriving at Carrington the thread will explode.
50 from Carrington, 30 from confirmed medical, and about 80 between then. That's less than 200. Gonna need more if we wanna get to 1000

This was the article that I will remember the most from this saga. Pissed me off no end. Published a week ago. ‘As United fail to attract yet another top class player’
The Sun are known to completely make up their stories.
I don't understand why journalists get away with this.
If a salesman mis-sold a product/service, the buyer would have the right to a full refund and eventually the company would get a bad name, if this kept happening. Most likely the sallesman would eventually get fired, if he doesn't stop lying.
Journalists however, lie for a living and there are no repercussions

His stats are good wherever he's played.
Wow they really are. Will be effective anywhere Jose deems fit to play him.
Ok, once I had the dinner done with, I looked back on our chat. I needed the stats to show different things, narrow somethings down and broaden others out. So i went on that link and below is what i got out or it. Make of it what you will. Highlighted his best position that season, totals at the end!

I couldn’t be any happier with this deal! I was gutted when we didn’t get Sanchez at the time he left Udinese, and even more disappointed when he went from Barcelona to Arsenal. I have no idea if Sir Alex was ever seriously in for him, but he always struck me as a United player through and through. He plays with heart and clearly has an eye for goal. He should provide much of what our attack has been lacking in recent times. Mata will surely be wondering if this relegates him to the bench for the foreseeable future - I think he’s the most at risk - but it’s a very significant addition to our starting 11.

Moreover, it’s a great deal from a business perspective. Yes, we’ll be paying Sanchez more in wages than Mkhitaryan was earning, but guess what...Sanchez is a much, much better player! He’s been one of the best players in the league since his arrival. He was a pending free agent who, in a few short months, was going to go to market, which certainly would have resulted in a massive payday. I’m sure there are agents fees involved, but a straight swap is more than any of us would have thought possible. Taking him from City, who clearly thought they had the player, is the cherry on top. Jose, Woodward, and whoever else is involved deserve plenty of praise.

Credit also to Arsenal and Mkhitaryan for their roles in this deal. It’s crazy that Arsenal let it get to this point, but they managed to get a very good player in return. They didn’t let pettiness prevent them from allowing Sanchez to move to us. Mkhitaryan clearly saw the writing on the wall. I’m sure it’s been difficult for him, but professional sports is a cutthroat business. He’ll be just fine. He scored some big goals for us and, while it didn’t work out how we would have hoped, I wish him all the best moving forward.

Most likely. I want us to play him on the right, but we'll wait and see where Jose plays him
Irrespective of where he plays I'd expect it to be in place of mata. Lingards been better than him this season and can play centre or right attacking midfield.
