Agreed , I said all race , he was not doing anything.
Just going to throw this out, but maybe all is not well in the Mercedes camp !
We've seen this before from Hamilton though. He goes through periods of not seeming to push and then hits a rich vein of form where he suddenly goes aggressive. He also definitely decides early on in races whether he's got a chance and struggles to keep focus when the car isn't doing what he wants it to.

If Red Bull was serious for the title they would make Ricciardo the first driver, not that fool.

I know he's got fresh boots on but surely that's one of the best overtaking shows of recent seasons?

Love Daniel Ricciardo.

Love Max as well, but he needs to learn from that.

Have to remember he's 21 - he's got potentially 10-15 years of racing ahead of him and he's already one of the very best overtakers on the circuit. I'd bank on him winning a WC before he's 25.

You know that once Senna grabbed Schumi by the throat because he was acting like Verstappen?

Something needs to be done about Max. Incredible talent, but it's just not acceptable that he smashes into someone else in every race.

Ricciardo needs a top team willing to bet on him. Don't think he's a lesser driver than Seb or Lewis

Give Ricciardo a Ferrari or a Mercedes and he can win the title.

Ricciardo and Vettel would be a dream next season. Don't think he could pip Vettel yet. But it would be an amazing watch.

How to describe Verstappen in 2 words?

Ricciardo: "Sore loser" after crashing with him in Hungary.

Ricciardo would beat Vettel if in the same car
I'm not so sure. He's fast, but he isn't that consistently fast. YET. Which is why I also said YET. I think Vettel has too much experience now to fall away to the side that easily and to be honest he isn't that slow either. Its very easy making these daring lunges in to turns when you don't have a championship on the line. Which is why both Lewis and Vettel today were not fighting that hard for positions. That Ricciardo overtake on Bottas today doesn't come off every time. He got a bit lucky that Bottas was extremely aware at that time.

In saying that. If Ricciardo comes to Ferrari, I'll be hoping he wins it. I think he'd make a great champion.

Ricciardo is fantastic when he's got the car under him, he's 1 of the best under braking.

That was a great end to the race, safety cars always bring the fun.

Amidst squeaky bums.
True as well.
Just pit the lap after Bottas... or be more aggressive and come in before him. Easy to say after the event and when things haven’t gone in favour though.

I reckon Ferrari’s indecision was over whether or not it was going to be a one or two stop race, having planned for a one (which in all the simulations, was quicker). However, there was definite uncertainty about how long tyres would last because Friday’s race runs were done in the freezing cold. With Merc boxing first, I wonder if Ferrari thought Bottas/Hamilton would be maxing out their pace and pushing for a two stop instead, and initially considered extending Vettel’s stint a good 5-10 laps longer than them to ensure the strategy differentiated enough, rather than matching up. But what they did ended up as a bizarre, careless-looking in-between.

What intrigues me is just how fast Red Bull is in terms of race pace.

I think they're not far off matching Ferrari, certainly not far off Mercedes.

Another win for Ricciardo in Baku and he's right up there in terms of the championship. He's been screwed over in terms of reliability issues.
