Maybe he could have done a bit better for the goal but overall he was good and he should take some confidence with him from this match.

Must be one of the very few who thought he wasn't that good today. Dropped off too deep of Micki for the goal and his passing was poor overall I thought

He’s coming along quite nicely. Needs to still get a bit more stronger and the rest is just experience.

There's a clear progression since the 1st day and I think he'll have a good next season.

Some people are far too harsh with him. He was very good today and comfortably marked Aubameyang out of the game. Very quick off the mark and with his interceptions as well.

Got decent passing ability this lad. That's something that we've been missing for some time. Smalling's distribution is shocking so it's nice to see someone who can pass the thing. Seems to be improving as the season has gone on which bodes well for next season.

I thought he was our best player in the first half but far too careless in possession in the 2nd half.

I want him to demonstrate his supposed ability on the ball. Sure he is clearly vastly superior to Jones and Smalling in this respect but that's such a low bar.

Did ok, our tempo was so bad in the second half that everyone suffered, but his positioning was good for the most part.

Yep. So far he hasn't really shown himself to be any better than Bailly in that regard.

He had that impressive moment in the second half where he bought the ball out past their attackers and pulled their midfielders to him to create space elsewhere...and then proceeded to give the ball straight to an Arsenal player. That looked like it was going to be a really good moment from him, so even though it ended badly it gives me hope that with more gametime and confidence we'll see him showcase this ability on the ball we hear about.

Hes young so who knows how far he will progress. Hes a decent player, but not really more then any of the others. Just offers a bit different. Need him to bulk up a bit to be able to physically bully some players and be more dominant in the air, but he does read the game fairly well... probably wouldn't hurt for him to be more aggressive in his approach either. Get a bit of a mean streak ala Vidic, not fear anything, leave it all out on the pitch. Obviously has potential though, but past more depth, it's been a bit of a strange signing tbf.

I think he's great, especially with his reading of the game and his passing ability. Jose will make him into a classy defender.

There was one point in the game today where he was telling Smalling to take the ball forward, for Smalling to turn around and pass him the ball. That showed to me that our general play will become so much more fluid and aggressive, once we have another defender at CB who can play the ball.

He might not be great in the air or be the fastest defender, but being in training with the likes of Lukaku, Fellaini, Rashford etc, it'll help his overall game become more complete.

He'll become a good player for us. If Alderwireld comes in, he (and Bailly) will hopefuly learn a thing or two from him to help with his development. Think I said it when we signed him, but I'd agree with people saying that he should bulk up. Needs to be more physical to deal with bigger strikers.

Thought he played ok. Pretty standard Lindelof game really, no big errors but nothing ground breaking.

I liked how he read the game today. He was vigilant and tracked movement well. He was calm and smoothly adjusted based on what he saw. Kept a good lookout for players trying to ghost into his blindside.

He’s growing, and I look forward to seeing him progress further.

30 out of 30 passes in the first half.
His passing fell away a bit in the second half when our midfield pushed up and gave him less options but overall I thought he played well.

Defensively solid. Carried the ball out of defence a few times too, which was refreshing to see. Despite him losing it at times, the intent was there, although I think our lack of movement in the final third doesn't help. He had very few options when he ventured into midfield.

Tbf, there was a moment too when the exact reverse and opposite happened, and Smalling received the ball from Lindelof after telling him to take it forward and release it from the left side. I think he will learn more from Smalling than Lukaku, Fellaini and Rashford tbh seeing as he is a defender and clearly need to work on his defensive consistency

He has decent positioning and timing to close the person on the ball but then he gives them like two yards to do whatever they want. He's done that since his first game. I get he doesn't want to overcommit but that's just far too space. He's getting better defensively so hopefully he gains more confidence in being more dominant in that respect.

Was nice to see him try to bring the ball out from the back more and play more purposeful forward balls under pressure though. We need someone like that.

Was more aggressive with the ball. Big year for him next year.

He was very good, handled Aubameyang easily and even covered for Smalling on one occasion. Was voted the official MOTM too. Not sure how some are calling his performance as average.

Good game from Lindelof, I feel the goal shouldn't be blamed on him but on the midfield that allowed an Arsenal player to freely attack the CB, but I should look at it again.

Lindolof played well. The goal we conceded was due to Herrera-Matic having a stinker in midfield. It was unfortunate to go through Lindolof's legs, who looked fantastic in possession. At one point in the game Lindolof made more forward passes than Aubameyang.

Might just be me but I think Aubameyang is overrated. Reminds me of Moussa Sissoko. He has a lot of pace but doesn't have in-game intelligence on how to run the channels or time his runs.

Only looks in the game if the ball is played in front of his feet. Otherwise he looks a bit ordinary and easy to mark. I am not Smalling's biggest fan but even I expected Aubameyang to ask more questions of him.

I like him, needs someone in the mould of Alderweireld next to him next season, that could be a really great partnership.

Weird signing. Strangely, I don't really have an opinion on him. "Meh" springs to mind. Played a number of games, some gash, some good but overall, meh.

Echoing what others have said, he isn't an upgrade from what we currently have.
He had a good game yesterday but that's what i think about him generally too. The most pointless signing in years for us. He's a new signing and 5th best CB in our squad ffs. If it was up to me i would cut our losses now. And we already have enough numbers in defence unless we start to play 3-5-2 again but if there was a need to replace him, i would bring someone like De Vrij on a free. I hope Lindelöf proves me wrong but to be honest, i don't see him leading our defence in the near future.

He contained Auba with no problems, which is a big plus for him.

His qualities are obvious but let's see if he can impose himself to be a reliable main player or not.

Just need some confidence to make him do better. As Ball Playing Defender, don't expected him to throw lunging tackle or dominate in aerial duel. His positioning and read the game were his main weapon as defender. Hope he got more chance this season to give him some confidence.

Hes still our 5th best centre back after Bailly, Smalling, Rojo and Jones.
Apart from Smalling, I seriously doubt it. Or at very least, he's just as good as the rest.

And at least he appears to be available more often than the rest.

Think he performed very well Again’s the Gunners, but will still struggle to see the point of him here. I don’t think he’s a better player than Tuanzebe.
