Games like this last season, City got extremely lucky. Seems order has been restored to the universe.
Great result for Wolves.
Guess they forgot to pay for the ‘until we score’ injury time they got last season

Freak goal, pen not given, hit the bar 3 times but Wolves were still worth a point. Good game, can't see Wolves struggle too much on the back of that performance.
Why are you still going on about penalty shout when the replays clearly show him tripping himself? Unless I've missed another penalty shout that should have been given?

They started the league campaign last season with 7 points as well though, tbf. Too early to think a thing changed for them.

Fair result. Wolves scored after handball, City scored from freekick after Sterling diving. No penalty on Silva, he hit himself.

By being better? City had majority of possession, but wolves seemed quicker, hungrier, every 50/50 they seem to be winning. It was refreshing, and they were good enough for a win

As sad as it is Wolves have better wide forwards than we do. All three of Jota, Costa and Traore can keep the ball and dribble pretty well. I was actually excited for once when the wide players got the ball.

Now we go back to Monday and watching Rashford, Lingard, Sanchez and Mata fumble around with the ball.

Question to United fans... If the title race ends up being between City and Liverpool (personally I think City and Chelsea are the favorites). Are you still happy with City dropping points?

Whatever prevents Liverpool from winning works for me but the season is long. If we cannot enjoy this in August then let's just stop watching football altogether. Too many weirdos forget that the title race is a marathon

Most people would rather have City than Liverpool win the league, but I'd rather have Liverpool every day of the week (reason - Pool haven't been a challenger in my lifetime (15 years) and I've hated City and their oil money over the last 8 years). Either way though points dropped for both is good :)

Let's make this easy. Whatever the scenario is in which Liverpool win the league, we prefer the alternative.

Pretty poor and sloppy performance but got a point, early in the season and could have gone either way so take a point and no grumbling.

Wolves defended brilliantly and created decent chances so can't see them being involved in the relegation scrap.

Wouldn't be surprised if Wolves were to fight for top 4 tbh and we be about 10th.

City had 3 times the number of shots, 6 shots on target to their 2. Hit the woodwork 3 times. Their goal was offside and handball.
Yet they did put alot into it, and battled hard.

Don't get me wrong Wolves were magnificent and played hard, but they were clearly the second best team. They earned the draw but they didn't deserve to win (imho of course).

Ok, let's even forget about brilliant football. Let's mention coherent football that produces enough chances to win games. It doesn't happen often in these away games
I know what u re saying and I agree.

Only that, at a personal level, I ve chosen to expect bad football and some ugly wins from Jose (and maybe get surprised) instead of expecting good stuff(and be dissapointed).

And, tbh, c mon, city are 2-3 seasons away from us in terms of setup, 11, bench and even future projection. That s what Pep does to a club and its completely normal. It s not like we were expecting Jose to come and be better than Pep, that never happened and it will never happen.

For us to play the same footie and have the same future projection we simply need: 1. A good dof. 2.a different manager 3. Huge investment . It ain t gonna happen this season, just get used to our dire football and that s it.

I don t think I ve ever watched more than 10 city games in my life before last season. But since the start of last season I m watching them and enjoying it, and that s something that comes from a huge United fan. It hurts but they so so far ahead.

Brilliantly said. I was just fishing, to be honest :)
