I can only imagine people who would rather Liverpool win the league aren't based in England?

I agree with you on the general point. I personally don't even expect much good football from our team, I just think there is a basic football we can get on a consistent basis that isn't too terrible to watch. Collective pressure, off the ball movement, stuff like that.
Yep. Like we arent asking to be as good as city or liverpool from an attacking point of view. But we are literally the least entertaining big team to watch in the world. Psg, Barca, Madrid, Bayern, juve, Chelsea, spurs, city, liverpool, arsenal even, are all far more attacking teams then we are. Atletico is a defensive side but they counter so much better then we do but are also far better defensively. Mourinho also showed in the past that even against Atletico, he'll cede possession to them instead of taking the initiative (and still lost).

And that's only looking at the traditional big clubs. Even the smaller clubs are more exciting to watch then we are. It's just so so shite all the time and we look so clueless most of the time. Not much to ask to try and be semi appealing on the eye and not be the worst big club out there.

Can we get the scouse lover tag over here please.
Wash your damn mouth bro! Liverpool winning the league is an absolute no.
This is pure bonkers
It's tiring that you have to conform to certain customs or be ridiculed. The reason why the Liverpool and Manchester United rivalry was such a big thing 30 years ago, was because they were winning everything. Now City are winning far more than Liverpool. There is a generational gap between those who didn't experience those years (me) and others.

Yep. More fun to be a Palace or Wolves supporter this season.

Can't believe anyone who supports Utd would rather Liverpool win the league than City. City winning it is annoying, but they're a shell of a club with no real identity - just a multibillionaire's play thing. It could have been any mid-table, fuddle of a club - just happened to be them.

Liverpool would be unbearable - the media swooning, the fecking grin on Klopp... just no.
If Liverpool win the league, I don't think I can stand the smug faces of Sourness,Slippy G and Jamie fecking Carragher. I also wouldn't be surprised if the scousers petition the queen to offer Klopp a knighthood.

It's not called trolling when the recipient supports Liverpool. It's called pest control ;)
Fair enough. :) Stop acting as if you are better than forums like RAWK then :) You were just beneficiary of United being at the top of the world for so long :)

How any United fan would want Liverpool to win the league over City is beyond me. They have 18 league titles. I wouldn’t want them to get closer to us plus it will be a huge boost for them. The longer they suffer without winnning the league the better.

Sad state of affairs that my first thought when City drop points is worrying about it opening the door for fecking Liverpool.

How young are you exactly? Hard for it to be generational gap when City have only been good for about 7 years.

Same feeling really. Sometimes I wonder if it's because we're fans that we are too harsh and I ask other fans of other teams and honestly they don't really enjoy watching us. They say they watch us for individual moments of brilliance but the team as a whole ? Hell no

Who cares about City.. its a billionare playtoy. It means nothing if they win the league... every club could win the league with the City owners.

I dont care if City wins the league.. obviously i prefer Chelsea or Arsenal (if United doesnt win it obviously) but for Manchester City to get close to the size of Manchester United they do need to achieve a lot more than win a few titles.

Liverpool on the other hand is the second largest club in England and would be able to become record champion if they would win the league a few more times.

Sorry to ruin your great theory but there's plenty on here who didn't experience Liverpool winning all through the 70s/80s and still would hate to see them win anything at all.

It is there on my profile snapshot mate. I am a Liverpool supporter.
Must be tough for us?

We’re in crisis mode yet our manager, who has been criticised for not achieving enough at United, has still won more trophies in just 2 seasons at United than Liverpool Football Club have won in the past 12 seasons combined. The levels are astonishing really.

I guess we just have much higher standards.

It's more bemusement to be honest. I wasn't around when Liverpool dominated either.

The media will blow it up more than anything we've ever seen.
Liverpool fans are already bad enough. They're already absolute gobshites just because they're playing some decent football and they get to rub that in more every time we look poor. City I have zero respect for which makes it easier to accept. They're hollow.

Like I say, I can only imagine those that think otherwise aren't based in the UK, where the media already swoon over them constantly, and we see how their fans react to everything.

This place should take a leaf out of RAWKs book.

No coincidence the Caf has gone soft and so have the players. Come on mods. Ban them allllllllllll.

*Except @SquishyMcSquish. I like him.

**Until Monday night. Then I'll want him banned.

I quite enjoy watching United when they are allowed to play tbh, the comeback v Palace I think was a great 2nd half and you guys can play.
But most the time, it's just waiting for Pogba to carve someone open or Lingard to score one of those weird belters that make him look amazing in highlights.
It's one of my issues with Jose.

The thought of Liverpool winning the league makes my blood run cold. That very first PL title win by City will probably be the only one that'll ever truly hurt, and that's more for the fact we should never have let it happen, and it unfolding like it did. There's just something so empty and hollow about their success.

It's still a big thing. It seems you don't know much about it.

It a ridiculous suggestion. He's been very inconsistent and on top of that he's been injured far too often. Some pundits act like his 2011-2012 season was the norm.

A fantastic defender at his best but we haven't seen enough of that.
Totally agree.

I know there is no way to have an objective discussion about it. But honestly, I have found things are so much in common between the two forums. There is so much that is similar between Liverpool and Manchester. Both places love their football and have similar views about politics . The only difference is that RAWK is at fault for giving their manager/players too much of a chance and Redcafe shits on the players and managers too easily.

Thats the only difference? :nervous::houllier:
How about RAWK being a fascist forum where all think the same and whoever doesn't gets kicked out. Not to mention not many oppo fans and Liverpool fans pretending to be United ones. Oh and every one of them have a Manc friend.

These were the types of games that City were winning with last gasp goals last season on that freak run they went on. It will be much closer this season.

The mods ban you for saying anything negative on that forum about Liverpool and lock any threads that doesn't support the club or players 100%. Also throw in the bonkers Liverpool fans that cry about United buying refs, the refs being against Liverpool and the alternative league title/we would have won if we didn't hit the post 1000x and the forums are miles apart.

The clubs are currently the complete opposite in that regard... Liverpool clears out the trash (Karius) yet United rewards them with new high wage contracts (Rojo) or just keeps then around forever (Jones)

True. But think how sweet it'll be when the inevitable gushing, emotional toll of 3 decades of constant underachievement brings any hope of success for them this season crashing to the ground.

I know that is the popular consensus. But that is not actually true :) I have been on that forum for the last 5 years.
