Aguero weight = 70kg.Different player to Henry.
Aguero is the most natural box finisher in PL history. Completely instinctive and always knows where the target is.
Worth his weight in gold to City. Almost literally.
Quite outstanding.
Like you, I’m looking forward to him buggering off. I assume you are joking with the ‘carrying them for years’ quip - they score goals from everywhere and they have done (sadly) for years.I can't wait for him to leave City. Carrying the team for years and just as you thought he's finished he find a way to keep coming back.
He would have gone down as possibly the GOAT if he'd tested himself at a big club. When all's said & done he'll be remembered for being better than Shaun Goater. To be remembered as a true great of the game you do have to have played on the biggest stages, where you are under the most pressure. We had 2 in Ronaldo & RVN, admittedly though these players are in the select few.He could've played for Real or Barca. Being City's top goalscorer doesn't hold the same weight imo. Rooney is United all time too scorer. Bigger achievement imo.
Yeah I know but without him they would've been a lot worse off. It's not possible to win titles without a top striker.Like you, I’m looking forward to him buggering off. I assume you are joking with the ‘carrying them for years’ quip - they score goals from everywhere and they have done (sadly) for years.
Aguero is pretty much done at international level, maybe even Messi too. Argentina are already preparing for their next generation.Well for Copa America this summer it should be Aguero upfront with Messi and Dybala floating off him. Icardi reserve on the bench.
Can't do much about their lack of decent defenders and midfielders of course.
Do the same maths with Lukaku, I bet he isn’t.Aguero weight = 70kg.
Value of 1kg of gold = £32,696.48
70 x 32,696.48 = £2,288,753
He's worth much more than his weight in gold
For Lukaku to be worth his price tag (£75m) in gold, he'd have to be 2294 kilograms.Do the same maths with Lukaku, I bet he isn’t.
Neither really needed him though. It still continuously baffles me how Madrid/Barca never came in for him at any point during his time at City. I remain convinces if he played for us he'd have been linked every other day
In Zubizarreta's words though, who was at the time their footballing director, Barcelona preferred Aguero over Suarez, but only the latter was available.Neither really needed him though.
Suarez was better than Aguero and links up way better with Messi.
And Benzema-Ronaldo had a great understanding together.
I’m sure Messi would have wanted Aguero at Barca. City were just never going to sell.Neither really needed him though.
Suarez was better than Aguero and links up way better with Messi.
And Benzema-Ronaldo had a great understanding together.
If Van Nistelrooy is a true great then so is Agüero. Their achievements and stats are actually very similar, neither won any of the biggest trophies (CL, World Cup), neither even appeared in a CL final. They both had good scoring records for a Manchester club and for a Madrid club.He would have gone down as possibly the GOAT if he'd tested himself at a big club. When all's said & done he'll be remembered for being better than Shaun Goater. To be remembered as a true great of the game you do have to have played on the biggest stages, where you are under the most pressure. Agree 100%, have said this many times over the years, he would have won us a few more league titles.I only wish Fergie had shelled out when he had the chance. Terrific player
Why wouldn't have RVP still arrived? In hindsight how many would have been against Rooney leaving for City in January 2011, only for us to pick up Aguero in the following summer?
We would have struggled for the remainder of the 10/11 season, City wouldn't have won the league on goal difference the next year, RvP wouldn't have come here, Rooney wouldn't be stinking up the place for years to come etc.
It's a no brainer for me in hindsight but at the time I think it would have been unthinkable for most. The equivalent of that today would be Pogba leaving for City and us going for someone like Neves (not a great comparison but the best I could think of).
Interesting to actually see the number resulting from this idiom... just another papable piece of evidence of how crazy today's football money isAguero weight = 70kg.
Value of 1kg of gold = £32,696.48
70 x 32,696.48 = £2,288,753
He's worth much more than his weight in gold
For Lukaku to be worth his price tag (£75m) in gold, he'd have to be 2294 kilograms.
So he's not far off.
Too similar imo. If we had Aguero there would be no real need for RvP.Why wouldn't have RVP still arrived?
RVN at United - 150 Goals in 219 Appearances. 1 League title, 1 FA cup , 1 League cup, 1 community Shield, 1 golden bootHe would have gone down as possibly the GOAT if he'd tested himself at a big club. When all's said & done he'll be remembered for being better than Shaun Goater. To be remembered as a true great of the game you do have to have played on the biggest stages, where you are under the most pressure. We had 2 in Ronaldo & RVN, admittedly though these players are in the select few.
Not to nitpick about a borderline non-trophy, but Agüero has won the Community Shield twice.RVN at United - 150 Goals in 219 Appearances. 1 League title, 1 FA cup , 1 League cup, 1 community Shield, 1 golden boot
Aguero at City - 222 goals in 322 Appearances. 3 League titles, 2 FA cups , 3 League cups, 0 community Shield, 1 golden boot
But RVN is a true great, while Aguero is just better than Shaun Goater . That logic.
Alan Shearer....He would have gone down as possibly the GOAT if he'd tested himself at a big club. When all's said & done he'll be remembered for being better than Shaun Goater. To be remembered as a true great of the game you do have to have played on the biggest stages, where you are under the most pressure. Excellent. Well done for posting this.Aguero weight = 70kg.

Based on a weight of 70 kg and height of 172 cm, his BMI would be 23.7. This is in the upper range of 'Normal weight', but not yet technically 'Overweight'Excellent. Well done for posting this.
That 70kg, the way it is distributed gives him a very low centre of gravity as his leg muscles are quite big.
I bet for his height, his BMI puts him in the overweight to obese range.
Both two of the best footballers we have seen in the PL.If there's one thing I'll respect Aguero and Silva for is that they actually brought trophies to City. Some players do jackshit, then move because "I wanna win trophies" when they could have contributed to trophies themselves. Aguero and Silva actually did it.
You see. I knew I should have worked this out first before posting.Based on a weight of 70 kg and height of 172 cm, his BMI would be 23.7. This is in the upper range of 'Normal weight', but not yet technically 'Overweight'
Yeah, how ridiculous does this look today, given how we spend now.Agree 100%, have said this many times over the years, he would have won us a few more league titles.
He would have been a bargain...instead we were told there was no value in the market!
Aguero & Shearer were great PL strikers. They are though a level below RVN. Massive difference between playing for Utd & Real, than City, Athletico & Blackburn. It's very difficult when you are under constant pressure & scrutiny week by week. Aguero & Shearer never really had these kinds of pressures in their careers. It really put's RVN's numbers in perspective. If Van Nistelrooy is a true great then so is Agüero. Their achievements and stats are actually very similar, neither won any of the biggest trophies (CL, World Cup), neither even appeared in a CL final. They both had good scoring records for a Manchester club and for a Madrid club.
Disagree. Aguero and Shearer would have walked into any of the great Utd teams imo. We’ve been blessed with exceptional strikers over the years, but none more exceptional than these two.Aguero & Shearer were great PL strikers. They are though a level below RVN. Massive difference between playing for Utd & Real, than City, Athletico & Blackburn. It's very difficult when you are under constant pressure & scrutiny week by week. Definitely a contender. I saw this on reddit recently, and it really highlights just what a career he's had. Such a consistent player.2018/19 POTY, for me.
Legend of the league. Still can’t get over the fact we didn’t get him from Atletico.
He's a quality quality player, but he's been able to do this in a side that is so good because they broke the rules. It's partly down to that. No surprise they break records left right and centre
