Why would anyone agree with reserve days...ridiculous isnt it.
Surely that’s down to the ICC?

Isn’t it basically the same argument as if there’s rain in a test match? Just delay the game instead of calling it a draw.

We are losing out due to no reserve games, I wouldn't say that is minimal. If the same had happened to England I would love to see the same posters going get over it.

From a financial POV a India Pakistan semi is miles bigger than India England.
The same thing almost would have happened to England to be fair if they hadn't beaten India. I'm sure there would be a few people angry about it but in the grand scheme of things I think it would be minimal because either Australia or India are going to win the World Cup and they're not missing out. Pakistan have just missed out on getting beat by Australia essentially.

The England hype machine is inflating again. Would be fun to see India bat first in the semis and watch Morgan be confused "but I flattened the pitch!"
Maybe we'll get Kohli moaning about the boundary being too short and then getting caught trying to clear it again.

Not really, we were close last time and have gotten better. On our day, we could easily have beaten them but all of that is moot. If you think it's going to be India vs Australia, I am guessing you wont be watching the semis?

Like I said if it had happened to England I doubt I would be getting the same response to you. Almost doesn't count.

That, scoring 105 v the Windies and struggling v Afghanistan. The weather's definitely had an effect but Pakistan underperforming against teams they'd expect to beat is the bigger issue.

For good reason. A bunch of decent players who can smash the ball around on flat pancake pitches being talked of as "rebirth of English cricket"
What are you banging on about. The pitches are flat due to the hot weather, they are the same for both teams. The pitch then became slower during the innings and difficult to bat on. There is no rebirth of English cricket because we have been playing well for the last 2 years across the world. I know that may grate on people such as you but that's the way it is.

I'll watch the semis but those two teams are clearly the favourites.

If it happened to England then losing to Sri Lanka and Australia would have been a bigger factor, England would still have been unlucky as Pakistan if NZ lose here. But England would have caused a lot of the problems themselves.

If one of england victories had gotten rained on they would be going out right here, for a tournament with only 9 games that is leaving a lot to chance.

A single test match in an era of test cricket vs a 6 week tournament...
Yeah and it could decide something like the Ashes. And you didn’t answer, who decides these rules?

Also, the host team producing pitches that suit their team. Why didn’t anyone think of this before. Such a new innovative moment for cricket.

I wish England-Sri Lanka got rained on personally. 9 games for a cup tournament is a lot to be fair.

Constantly at the STD clinic.
:houllier::lol: God, clearly you have some issues with England playing well. No one has said any of that so not sure where you have got that from. Perhaps you can provide some sources please?
I dont have anything agaisnt English cricket but the fact English media is framing these rain impacted days as "Ah well we couldn't predict it such is the game. Doesnt matter though does it!".

On top of that I'm against these flat pancake pitches that ruin the game for me and this current English team really benefits from that.

Exactly, so you can't even say a rained off match would have been a certain 2 points either.
It wont but I would have liked the opportunity to get knocked out or gone through rather than it being decided by rain.

Pak vs Lanka to qualify for a semi? I would take those odds and if we lose we dont deserve to go through.

Ifs and buts. If Bangladesh didn't have their game rained off against Sri Lanka, they most likely would've been in the hunt for the semi's too.
