I am hardly a fan of Lukaku but I'll say this.

Lukaku is more guaranteed to score 20+ goals in Italy than Dybala being a success at United or Spurs.

Obviously the latter has much more upside.

We tend to hate on big Rom here but he has outscored in G+A Dybala every one of the last 5 seasons.
Lukaku has scored 20+ league goals once in his career. His average tally is 15-16 goals per season.

Not sure whether you are counting all competitions or just league. Just going by league

2018-19
Lukaku (2130 mins) - 12
Dybala (2137 mins)- 9

2017-18
Lukaku (2869 mins)- 23
Dybala (2358 mins) - 27

2016-17
Lukaku (3267 mins) -31
Dybala (2154 mins) - 18

2015-16
Lukaku (3177 mins) - 24
Dybala (2465 mins) - 28

2014-15
Lukaku (2877 mins)- 15
Dybala (2965 mins) - 23

They're getting a bit panicked over on the Juve sub-reddit, and it seems to be having a knock-on effect with the Inter fans on reddit who are getting quite salty. They're really not keen on our fans haha.

If those are the league stats you've just posted you do realise you've shit all over your first statement?

It's goals + assists, not just goals.

His argument was Lukaku was a 20 goals striker and other one was he has better G+A than Dybala in last 5 seasons.

If Lukaku can get lean again he could be good. He has a passion for Italian football so maybe he'll work hard once there.
There's no doubting he'll score goals, he did the same for United but it's just going to be comical watching Ronaldo reaction when he sees Lukaku breaking down attacks with his first touch.

Yep, you just have to look at someone like Dzeko. Ageing and slow but still an absolute handful and until this year scored for fun in Italy. Lukaku's strength and speed will bulldozer teams.
His strength and speed should be enough to bully defenders in England too, but he rarely does so. He just doesn't know how to use it, I don't think that he'll suddenly learn that in a new league.

He knew how to use it at Everton. He wont be facing teams raising their game and sitting back on the edge of their boxes like he did for us, that's not the way they play in Italy, even against Juventus.

Can't say I've watched much Serie A in recent years but that does sound like exactly what Italian teams are known for.

What's more likely? Rom trucking through Serie A with a dominant Juventus side or a half-hearted Dybala setting the Premier League on fire with our current lot? I'm going with the former.

Why would he be half hearted?

They lack the organisation and doggedness of the Burnleys of the Premier League. There are more gaps to exploit for a quick player.

Italian teams lack organisation at the back. Now I've heard it all. The thing he will definitely have in his favour is there'll be some defences he can bully with his size. But in terms of defending compactly and deep to nullify his pace, it's got to be the worst league he could go to!

wickla!
He's not exactly desperate for a move in this scenario.
The thing about most footballers is they have big egos he has become very much second fiddle. His agent will sell this as Rebranding of the Dybala brand, comes to United becomes a favourite and his Endorsements go through the roof. While united are not in the champions league they are still one of the most recognizable sports teams in the world

Juventus would walk to Serie A with Darmian as their no.9, there’s really no room in comparison between both scenarios.

It's funny because I asked myself a similar question when we signed the likes of Di Maria, Falcao and Sanchez and I'm sorry to say the answer at the time didn't exactly jive with reality so excuse me if I'm a little sceptical about the next reluctant South American superstar solving all our problems.

It's not the 90s anymore. Italian teams score/concede just as many as English teams now, if not more. Playing for a team like Juventus he will get loads of opportunities.

IIRC only guy to score 20+ league goals playing next to Cris was Higuain. Twice.

And Benzema most seasons.
Twice as well, but true. Completely forgot that

Guess with Sarri they might become a goal machine on the level of those madrid sides, maybe

Can this thread get back on topic. I came for salty tears and quotes from Juve fans and it's just full of who's got the biggest dick discussions.

Rooney nope, Ruud was before Cristiano became Cristiano
- Rooney & Ronaldo both scored 23 goals in 06/07 (the first season Ronaldo established himself as the best)
- Benzema scored 20+ goals in all competitions in 7 of the 9 seasons he played with Ronaldo.

have stomachache since heard this news.
I'm not sure I can handle seeing this guy in our shirt.
For the first time i feel bad about next season.
We are shooting ourselves in foot.
I can’t believe we would do this.

I get Conte wanting him for his style of football but Lukaku in a Sarri team??!!

It makes sense on literally 0 levels. That’s why it cannot happen. Surely.

Also trading in our most technically gifted attacker for the privilege!!

What is happening in the world?
Fab and Nedved must be Dumb and Dumber in disguise. Kean and Dybala out (one is a technical player with a sweet left foot, and the other a youth team prospect with potential) for a lumbering clumsy oaf who possesses a first touch that makes Matree look like a ball control god. This over-sized Belgium cnut could be replaced by a lamppost for a fraction of the price. Meaningless deal in an area where we really don't need to do anything. Focus on the fecking midfield FFS!
management have officially lost their mind.... I was jazzing my pants after de light...… now im facepalming HARD....

sell keane and Dybala. keep all your washed up oldies, and buy a pylon on top.....

this is absurd.

Focus on the midfield? They have like a billion midfielders. Though I do agree Lukaku to Juve makes no sense when they basically have his younger self in Kean who they're selling

Focus on the midfield? I thought they had about 12 starting midfielders
