Need him gone asap

Also I'm contributing but we should lock his thread. A great performance without him, again
Doesn't deserve any discussion

Ronaldo is trying to force the sale cause he's being disrespected and wasted. Why should he want to spend his last year like this?
Is he terminally ill? Could be that United is on his bucket list and big bad ETH does him dirty like that. #prayforcristiano #angelinthemaking #leavecristianoalone

Ronaldo is a great player. It is sad how short people's memories are. He was great last year. The two goals he against Newcastle should have stood. He would have put the chances away today.
He’s way past it. He played well for month or two since coming back, but he can’t handle the physicality anymore. The team will never function with him in the line-up. The great, energetic, high-pressing team performance today would never happen with him starting.

That was a total dick move by him. Great performance by the team but he’s now just made it all about him by his actions. Almost like he planned it.

His ego is bruised. I wouldn't play him again before the world cup. Hope he fecks off in January and we can get a striker in on loan if needs be.

I can maybe understand if he walked off at that time and we were scoreless or one goal down needing to attack. He was watching a game where the team was playing outstanding from start to finish with full control over the game...why wouldn't you pretend to be happy for your team? Would it have been better for him to get subbed on at the 90th minute for mop-up duty?
Even if we were 3 goals down, he's paid by the club, he's a professional senior player, and let's be honest, he's by far the worst performing of our lot. There's no excuse, neither is there anything to understand. He's an absolute disgrace.

This petulance here despite our scintillating performance showed him up for the self serving egomaniac that he is, and I'd love to hear what his cheerleaders in Rio and Keane thought about his behaviour. He's displaying everything you don't want from a footballer on and off the pitch. We need to send him to Adidas New York or Dubai to go and train and cut our losses

Also I respect Henry for choosing to stay silent and not give him any airtime

He gets paid a fecking salary to do what he's told by his manager. He isn't the fecking manager of this club!

So, he's used as a sub, which is what Ten Hag has been doing. I find this constant insulting of his contributions very disrespectful, especially of someone who has contributed so much. It is so Deja vu: Robson, Keane, Scholes, Giggs, Rooney etc. were all treated here the same way. There is no need for it.

The latest Ronaldo PR explanations for it

The second tweet is the funniest, he poke the ball to Shaw on the touchline, he was continuing to warm up with the rest, then he just continued to walk down the tunnel. In no way did he discuss with the manager with 2 minutes to go.

Disrespectful to the club and fans.
No one player should be allowed these actions.
He should go and go NOW.

Ten Hag should set the example. Put him in the reserves with the kids.

Well, I believed you first time. "I can't believe" people honing in on an unused substitute.
This is actually the biggest issue for me: he can’t leave the bench before the end of the match and quit on the manager when we hadn’t even used up all of our substitutions yet. I mean that’s practically like going on strike as he deprived the manager of the chance to bring him on in case it was necessary.

What example does he give to the younger players when he behaves this way? I don’t want to even mention the importance to stay and celebrate the win with teammates at the final whistle. The guy has absolutely no team spirit whatsoever.

I understand people are annoyed at him for leaving early, and I'm not going to defend him if he's being a child again but I'll wait until it's confirmed he's being a dick before call him a cnut like some in here. I'd rather focus on the excellent result and performance, a player that didn't even get a kick today is for some reason the headline.
Yes. Maybe he suddenly got diarrhea, or something. If not, he really is a cnut.

EtH is the boss! and Ronnie's little hissy fit last game earned him a place on the bench.

Love It!

Must have been 14 years ago or something huge now since he smacked the jacket out of Phelan’s hand after being subbed. There was one game the same season I remember him just taking himself off. He’s always been about this kind of thing, lots of attention, huge ego etc.

I am real curious to know which team will take him? I just can't imagine any team out there that will be able to indulge him and his decline, whilst still trying to consistently win matches. I mean, I'm sure he can have a little goal scoring spell, but it's not enough. Truly baffled where he goes from here.

This is why he should stay quiet and be respectful because he might get another humiliating wake up call in January if the same happens and no team can take, or want him.

MLS or a team in the Turkish league maybe? It is Ronaldo though, the attention that he brings to a club (and with that financial opportunities) would be worth getting him for many clubs.

He has no power. We don’t want him. Nobody does. He was rightly RESTED this evening. Yes, this display will give him some attention but not the kind that will get him what he wants.

And the irony is, him having a strop over being on the bench has probably earnt him an even longer spell on it as unlike the previous manager, it seems ETH doesn't have favourites and players are picked based on performance, as they should be. He's being treated like everyone else.

But Ronaldo doesn't seem to have accepted that he would have to go to one of the leagues you've suggested. He's got a problem and I'm not sure he knows it.
It's always a shame when you're coming towards the end of your career. I get that it's really really hard, especially for an overachiever like him, but its reality and needs to be dealt with. In the meantime though, being disrespectful is not ok at all - it makes him look like a real unattractive prospect to potential suitors no matter what he brings in marketing wise.

The issue is then, he was the best player in the world. Now, he can barely move.

He tried to leave all summer, skipped pre season and his agent was offering him to anyone and everyone. Promised he'd reveal "the truth" in September because he assumed he'd have been at a different club by then and he could slag us off.

But nobody wanted him so he was stuck here and he's been mostly shit whenever he's played outside of the odd cameo here and there. There's been no interview where he reveals " the truth" by the way.

He was rightly dropped, and we played our best game of the season without him. So he's sulked off again trying to steal the spotlight.

He's a pain in the arse and ETH is completely right in how he's dealing with him. He can fecking grow up.
