Gaz. Is a Mewling Quim.
I think he gets a few days off like everyone else who played there. I think him and Varane would be back the same day
Nah, Martinez will get a few extra days, rightly.

The first few days of his “holiday” will have been anything but and he’ll need time to mentally/emotionally recover from that high.

I'll go full on rose-tinted optimistic and put the reason why we haven't seen any recent training pics to Licha and Varane returning.

Unlikely though, as not sure what it would accomplish tbh apart from a late psychological blow to the opposition

Varane I'm expecting back for Wolves. Martinez maybe the game after which is Bournemouth.

It's quite amazing that Varane, who played every game and end up injured, was available and we still have no idea where Lisandro is.

Probably been some given extra time to celebrate the WC win (not many players even get close), but surely he should be back before the next game?

That said Luke Shaw was brilliant (yes we need to take the opposition into consideration), and with Shaw and Varane, never once did I concern myself with Forest catching us out with pace in behind.

I will only be annoyed with him IF he's still not back but Alvarez/Mcallister/Romero are

Celebrating and resting. Jesus, he just won the world cup. Give him some time to enjoy.

I love him but I will have to question his professionalism if he isn't back for the Wolves game.

I’m not sure if Varane playing speaks more about Varane’s insane profesionalism or a lack of Martinez’.

Is Messi back for PSG yet? Are any of the Argentina players back in the Premier League?

If I was Varane I'll want to get on with it, he wouldn't want to dwell on a defeat. For Martinez though he won the world cup, something every footballer dream of and most don't achieve, its okay to enjoy it a bit.

He won't be taking the piss, he isn't that type of person from what I can gather so far.

I'd say he's likely going to be flying back today. Romero is back in London so I'd imagine Lisandro will fly back before the end of the week.

My thoughts exactly. Had he won the WC, maybe Varane wouldn't have been available now. That being said, Martinez should be available against Wolves.

didn’t see Romero for spurs
Martinez was missing in Goal for villa
no macalister for Brighton
no alverez for city
no Licha for us.

I would imagine they’ll all be back in the new year. I think the wolves game will come around too quickly for Licha.

He may be on the bench vs Wolves and then start against Bournemouth on 3rd of January. Think most important thing is for him to start getting minutes and games and then to be fully ready for City and Arsenal fixtures.

Varane was the first player to play in the final to play for his domestic club thus far. He’s the exception, not the rule.

Exactly. A lot of posters are massively overreacting.

It is silly, especially considering who we are talking about. I imagine Licha would have played a training game half cut an hour after the final on broken glass with no boots if Ten Hag asked him to.

Yeah, I know I'm not fun at parties. Get him home now for feck sake. Varane played even more football than him, still played yesterday.

It’s funny how the fake narrative spreads.

Do you really think no one knows where he is? No Argentina player has returned to club yet. They won the World Cup and have been given time to celebrate. Varane is the first player involved in the final to play and he wasn’t even meant to, he told Ten Hag he would due to the virus in the squad.

Martinez and the rest of the winning squad are celebrating. Something Mbappe and the French weren’t given extra time to do because, well, they lost.

Genuinely not that difficult to understand

These guys  Licha just won the World Cup, he is a national hero.

Give the guy a little rest
I dont' care if he just discovered the cure for cancer. he needs to understand that the PL returns to action on the 27th

Looks like he is the first Argentinian player to report for club duties.
