Changed the flow of the game, again. Rashford up front at the end was just common sense but McTominay and Sabitzer was a great change. From that moment we blunted Newcastle and broke up play for the counter far better.

Well done to ten Hag for winning a trophy this early in his reign. Hopefully more to come this season.

Won the first trophy available to him. Made it look easy too. Every bit of praise he gets is deserved. World class manager.

His management of the squad is insane. Our players couldn’t run much at all last season and now we’re playing a crazy number of games and winning most of them with really good recovery levels

I fricking love him. Took us at our lowest ebb and transformed us completely. Speaks sense, improved our football, build up our togetherness mentality and confidence and has managed a difficult group brilliantly.

Haven’t felt proud of a manager of ours in this way since 2013.

The McTominay/Sabitzer sub was perfect. Killed them and probably should have led to 2 or 3 goals if we didn't mess up the attacks they set up.
Yes, at the time I thought it was a mistake but it worker perfectly. Feels good to have a top tactician for a change.

Feels so good having a class manager

give him whatever he wants in the summer we coming for that PL title
Doesn't it just. First trophy is so important - in the first year its a message to the players - "look - you see all that work I made you do? Worth it now isn't it? Listen to me and you will be winners". They're all in this squad. They believe just as we do - we've finally got a world class coach in charge.

And the best thing about it is, we can still improve with some additions and another preseason without the confidence sucked out of the players.

Let's go

'tis a silly place
Players from other clubs must be watching and thinking they want to get in on this. In the same way Klopp and Pep were totemic figures for their clubs, Erik is going to have players queuing up wanting to play for him.

It was so good wasn't it - Newcastle were really in the ascendancy. I remember Martinez hoofing it back out and Newcastle recylcling at the half-way line and I thought "we need to make a change - this will be like the Alamo if we don't get hold of the ball" - I thought to go Antony off for McTominay and Weghorst off for Sancho with Rashford through the middle but ETH is so smart. McTominay, Casemiro, Sabitzer - all energy. Try and pass through that. Sabitzer was really good in the tackle too and it just stifled Newcastle and really killed the game off. Just when it was needed. Fantastic game management.

Oh I’d definitely like him to improve our possession play more. It goes to pieces too easily with us relying on counters again. But he can’t do everything in one season. For us to be at this stage with the belief, tactical organisation and ethic that we have not to mention crucial additions made last summer is nothing short of miraculous already

Utterly ludicrous how comfortable that Cup Final was given the amount of games 95% of the team have played in the last two months. And that's before you even get to the World Cup and how far some of our lads got in that competition.
Not much has been made of this. Also would like to say I'm firmly an Ajax fan now. Might buy a legit authentic Ajax kit or two to thank them for ETH, Antony and Licha.

So important to break that 6 year rut. A club like United should never have allowed for such a period to sustain. Thank you Eric!!
