He's obviously beyond this level now but having R. Sessegnon in the squad would have improved our defence massively. Panzo's a better footballing CB than the other options but is having to play LB. Still, this is a pretty good generation.

They're good athletes, especially the defence, but overall the technical quality is of a higher standard than usual. It helps that, at U-16, they were excellently coached by Dan Micciche. Gomes and Sancho have been mentioned, but there's some good to outstanding prospects in Medley (Chelsea)...

If we're serious about Aina then this should be a transition season from Iva to him. Early days but Conte's 4-2-4 doesn't appear to rely on wingers overlapping so, as limited as he is there, I don't mind Azpi at LB. Baba is just diabolical.

Yeah, I know about Roberts and Cook. Re Crowley, doubt that very much. I don't know if it's a commitment thing, given the continued Irish links, but he very rarely gets consistent looks from England, which is very frustrating. I think he's brilliant.
