WI have some proper match winner but they also have many pointless players. People moan about Braithwaite but I look at Ashley Nurse. What does he even do? I won't be wrong in saying he is the most pointless player that a team can have.

If Windies played at his strike rate they would have won the game.

Liking how the WC has kicked on now. Tomorrow we have Pak v. SL. I expect Pak to win considering they have never lost to SL in WC. WI next match is against SA which is a very important game for both. WI would want to win that having lost this one and SA must win if they are hoping to stay in this competition. England face Bangla this saturday which might turn out to be a tricky affair for England. Hoping to see a good game. Then we have Aus/Ind which should be a cracker. Predict Aus to win that one sadly. They are becoming a dangerous side just when it matters. A loss today would have made it tricky for them but now they would be a bit pleased.

There's only one winner tomorrow.

Pakistan are following the '92 blueprint perfectly. Heavy defeat to Windies in the first game, winning the second, N/R today. Two losses coming up vs Australia and India next.

Pak qualified with 9 points (Australia had 8 with almost same NRR), that washout game vs England, they were all out for 70 and England just needed 50 more runs to win.

Looks like a washout today, rain hasn't stopped all day.

Weekend games will be fine. SA-WI is in doubt on Monday. The Aus-Pak also looks dodgy.

So what happens if a knockout game is a wash out? Does that mean they come back the next day?

Yes. If a semi final reserve day also is a washout then the highest placed team in the groups progresses. If a final reserve day is a washout then the finalists share the trophy.

This is just moronic. Rain stopped over an hour ago, still nowhere near starting. Why don't they have covers that cover the entire ground? If/when the ground is deemed fit they'll waste a further 30 minutes on the toss and anthems.

There's nothing you can do about the weather in outdoor sports but I don't get why international cricket can't take measures and be a bit proactive when it comes to rain. Wet outfields can easily be avoided.
