Meh, that's not a century worth celebrating. He's batting well under the required run rate.

Bangladesh definitely the best of the rest at this World Cup.

We've got a lot of dead rubbers to come until the Semi Finals.

Games to look out for now are India v. England, Australia v. ENgland, Australia v. NZ, Eng v. NZ. And just for determining who is the real shit Pak v. SA should be fun.

Have to say some of the bowling performances in this WC has been absolutely pathetic. It's like many bowlers already give up even before bowling. We can all say Pitch this Pitch that but good bowlers still manage to bowl well and look threatening. I watched the highlights of WI/Ban and the bowling by WI was just awful. Same the other day by Pak bowlers against us. I have not seen today's match but I am pretty sure Bangladesh bowler's would have bowled awful. No matter how much cricket has become batsmen's game the quality in bowling has become very low.

The reason this format sucks is because all the teams would have played each other such that you lose unique feeling during the KO stages.

Adding associates would add more pointless games but it would have added a bit more excitement to the latter stages. This all feels like a dress rehersal for the current top 4.

On the flip side, if the likes of Sri Lanka, SA and Pakistan weren't so shit, we'd have seen a more competitive version of this format.

Can't blame the format for half the teams being absolutely shit . Cricket is going in the wrong direction and I just can't see how international cricket is going to survive too long .

England's bowling needs to turn up, been a bit lacklustre overall and the fielding hasn't helped!

I guess it's better batting first and being rolled over for 100 than getting spanked for 400.

What's worse for NRR - losing by 300 or losing in 10 overs?
Assuming 400 + 100 all out vs 100 all out + chased down in 10 overs it's comfortably better to lose by 300 runs.

400/50 (8) - 100/50 (2) = 6

101/10 (10.1) - 100/50 (2) = 8.1

That's why teams prefer to chase when they're looking to improve NRR.

Rashid bowling really well here. Best I've seen him for a while. Three overs in and not one loose delivery.

He'll probably send down a load of half-trackers and full tosses now, but looks encouraging at least.

Would bring Archer back on now to replace Ali. Another wicket now and we're really into them.

He might be their most reliable player but have to say Angelo Mathews should just stick playing Test Cricket. He is one of the most useless batsmen for SL in ODIs. SO much experience yet does not know how to accelerate his innings or even keep rotating the strike. If anything this WC should be a great platform to say Goodbye to all these players who are just past their peak aka Hafeez, Malik, Amla, Mathews.
