Wouldn't that be the same guy against Villa on Boxing Day?
You're right

Haha, as soon as I saw him going there I knew he was doing a Kudus. He’s got that little cuntiness about him that you need to succeed at the top level.Tweet

Clearly we need to promote our academy scouts to first team scouts (if they're even different people)We spent roughly 150m on two RW players, Sancho and Antony, only to see them drop turds match after match an academy player blows them out of the water.

SameI thought he did it because Ronaldo did it while at Madrid.
Yeah this, especially after Di Maria role him to stop doing Ronaldo celebrations. Why would he remember kudus??Same
I can't imagine Garnacho who be too bothered by how a West Ham player celebrated a goal. Who would give a shit about that?
It's another Ronaldo reference.
The only way that'd make sense is if they planned it beforehand, because someone did it recently to Maddison and it caused a stir on socialsYeah this, especially after Di Maria role him to stop doing Ronaldo celebrations. Why would he remember kudus??
Pretty sure Garnacho was a Murtough dealClearly we need to promote our academy scouts to first team scouts (if they're even different people)
Id say he just enjoys being in the the team and starting. If you had put Rashford on the right at the start he’d have done anything to make the position his own. As Fergie always said trust in the youth, they’ll always surprise you.Been saying for weeks he looks like he enjoys playing out on the right hand side. Brilliant today.
Just mental they gave it to Mount. Garnacho #7 next season hopefully.Get him that no. 7 ffs
Don’t want him anywhere near it. Unnecessary pressure, it’s cursed!Get him that no. 7 ffs
They’re using Mount as a lightning rod for the #7 curseJust mental they gave it to Mount. Garnacho #7 next season hopefully.
What 19 year olds are better than him in world football, how can you not be convinced when he's already doing the business, with obviously inconsistencies as he's nowhere near full developed.I'm still not fully convinced he will be a world class player, less compared to Hojlund and Mainoo, but certainly will be a good player and one who should start every game for us right now.
Eh, he's made it public he wants the 7 (this was prior to Mount getting it) - he was liking tweets saying he should be 7.Don’t want him anywhere near it. Unnecessary pressure, it’s cursed!
Valid point , lack of viable options means we have had to throw him in so young and make demands of him to be one of the main players means expectations can be at times be unrealistically high at times. What 19 year olds are better than him in world football, how can you not be convinced when he's already doing the business, with obviously inconsistencies as he's nowhere near full developed.

He has a fantastic attitude, mentality and work ethic of what we've seen so far. However, I don't think he has quite has the 'base' technique, decision making and perhaps even physicality to be considered for potential 'world class' right now. It's all opinions of course but as an example, Sane at 19/20 years old had the fundamental qualities for that potential. It's taken him a bit of time to get there with big injuries not helping but it was evident from the start imo.Valid point , lack of viable options means we have had to throw him in so young and make demands of him to be one of the main players means expectations can be at times be unrealistically high at times.
But there are no many 19 old's in world football at his level right now. If he keeps developing and gets physically stronger we will have a very serious player on our hands.
I get what you're saying, it does feel like that at times and for me that's actually the best thing about him, his room for improvement is still so huge but he's already delivering consistently.Garnacho is too 'messy' in a lot of his actions, a bit too much kick, run and industry rather than guile or finesse; I'm not talking about simply aesthetics. It's perhaps a harsh take of course but having said that he does remind me of a young Ronaldo, so who knows.
The Ronaldo comparison, I agree that there are similarities in their mentality and attitude. However, Ronaldo was much more of a dribbler and was quite a bit faster than Garnacho, as well as stronger, even at 19. Garnacho, on the other hand, has a lower centre of gravity and seems more agile. Physically, they are quite different. What I hope Garnacho does is work as hard as Ronaldo and improve his physical attributes like Ronaldo did - acceleration and top speed can both be improved considerably from the level he's at - still fast, but he can improve. Strength wise, he needs to improve to show a world class level in the PL - I don't want him to bulk up, but core strength and a little bit of a nasty edge will suffice. He has a fantastic attitude, mentality and work ethic of what we've seen so far. I will say and I've said it in this thread a few times, every time I've doubted his quality, he produces some decisive moment the next game or after. For his age and experience, as you guys say, what he's doing is fairly unprecedented.
Cavani definitely wasn't a bust wearing no 7, single-handedly brought us into Europa League final and scored 18 goals in 30 something matches. Pretty good return.Eh, he's made it public he wants the 7 (this was prior to Mount getting it) - he was liking tweets saying he should be 7.
The last players that had it - Cavani and Ronaldo aside- were busts, so it's not like the expectations are incredibly high. Also, he has the self-belief and arrogance necessary to shoulder it - the guy is constantly trolling other players/teams (Pedro/Barca, Kudus today).
You surely said when Fergie gave it to an unknown player some years agoDon’t want him anywhere near it. Unnecessary pressure, it’s cursed!
