Because they're being swamped with negative PR and negativity from their fans. Presenting 2 players together, including 1 being a potential club record buy, would give them a chance to change the narrative a bit. It's not some crazy theory just because you think so.

You think Arsenal give a shit about their fans?!:lol::lol: Wenger is still their manager FFS.

From Pep's press conference.
Guardiola: “Congratulations to them. The players and their managers decide what is the best for them. There's nothing to add. My opinion of Alexis remains the same. It was a pleasure to be with him in Barcelona. I wish him the best."

feck off you baldy, coked up, self loving , polo-shirt wearing Steve jobs looking bastard.

Anyway.. Deal to be concluded tonight then?

Think missing the registration deadline was a blessing in disguise. Now all parties get the sendoff they deserve. Alexis will start tomorrow and be hailed when he is subbed late on. Mkhi on the other hand will get abuse hurled at from angry tv watchers every time they show him sitting in the stands for making Alexis ineligible vs Burnley.

Feck

Lets have some perspective and sense. There is no way we would have entered negotiations knowing how hard Raiola is to deal with without a hint that this will get done, we would look stupid having usurped City to the signing of Sanchez but then not getting it over the line.

If it's true it was proposed 6 weeks ago then most of the leg work will have been done already, my main worry would be Wenger balking at paying a large agents fee but Arsenal are desperate for more players after letting Walcott leave , with Giroud being injured and having Sanchez who wants away that i think he will do anything to get it done.

I said earlier i expect Monday before any movement but we may get a 'subject to medical and personal terms' release this weekend.

It's happening but just not to our in house caf muppet transfer addicted timeline.

I read some lad on twitter before saying he's missed his last 3 days of college following this saga, i can't believe it effects people's lives that much.

I think this is a good time to name and shame those who shat on Sanchez a couple weeks ago....

Cause all we need is another player in Martial/Rashford position...

:D He just turned 29, we can get at least 4 more years out of him and for £30 million it would be worth it.

@Paz

This has been explained hundred times and discussed to death. Alexis would take the role of Martial, Rashford as second forward. He's not longer just a support player but a main man looking to be supplied. We're having hard time to get supply for Martial, Lukaku... Alexis may improve us but I don't see that much improvement since the root cause of problem lies with the supply. And with not much return, you're having problem with develop your future stars in Martial & Rashford. It's not exactly cheap either if you don't have a free run for his signature. Question for you is whether it's worth it this short term little gain?

Hope Sanchez would be announced before mod reaching my posts

ouch

If the player wants the move then Agent cannot deny it surely? How is this in Agent's hands?
It's the stuff Raiola leaks to make it look like he's king. He said himself that he proposed the deal like 2 months ago. Why would he not agree. Just a lot of nothing.

The player could want it for X amount of money and the agent is negotiating for that. The player may not want to sign over image rights. The player may was different bonuses. The player may want his agent to be paid an appropriate amount for the transfer. Really, there's a myriad of ways.

your comment made me laugh after I imagine and indeed I maybe will rant a lot in front of tv everytime Mkhi showed.

If this transfer not including Mkhi then Sanchez would already train in Carrington today. This is Raiola we talking about. He can make Milan looks like an amateur in Donnaruma saga, God knows what will happen with Arsenal's board.

Imagine if Alexis plays tomorrow and gets a red.
Don't even want to think about it!

Got curious and saw that he's only ever had 2 red cards in his career, both at Udinese. Straight red in 08/09 and 2 yellows in 10/11.

I wonder if Wenger would be ridiculous enough to play Sánchez tomorrow, despite knowing that he’s off.

He did the same thing with Chamberlain.

And imagine him being injured in that game. Wenger will pull his revenge on Mourinho and will forever be remebered as the muppet slayer. :nervous:

Arsenal are one of the best run clubs in the world financially. Milan are a disaster in that regard. Arsenal will be harder for him to deal with.

This time I've really gone all in despite what my brain was telling me. I may as well accept my fate.

So did I, and I'm not even ashamed to admit that I have been all in since last Thursday when it was first reported by Di Marzio. I have total confidence that this will get done, so you are not alone :D

Bet the Arsenal boardroom has never seen the likes of Raiola before

Feck another wasted day. Hope Wenger wont injure Sanchez by playing him in any game until the deal is done. An injury from Sanchez/Micki would kill this deal immediately, Jose knew that that's why he said Micki wouldnt be selected for Burnley. The longer this pursuit lasts, the more risky it will be.

Wenger has lost all my credit after two deadline lies. This old man is dangerous now, no one knows what he is conspiring in his evil mind

No, I think they care about winning some positive PR in the short term. They've reacted with short term thinking before in the face of poor results and negativity like when they spent a whole bunch of money on garbage after getting tonked 8-2 at OT.

Considering that we know they're well down the road with both Mkhi and Aubameyang believing they'd like to announce them together really isn't that far fetched. If you disagree, cool. It's just a theory.
