Done a bit of stat analysis:

In the 20 games he's played in, we've scored 42 and conceded 13 goals. W 15, D 2, L 3.

In the 9 games he hasn't played in, we've scored 18 and conceded 8 goals. W 5, D 1, L 2.

(Bear in mind these games are mostly in the Carabao Cup and Champions League against less well organised defences).

The goals scored and conceded stat takes into consideration when he was substituted in the WBA game.

Another game without Valencia, more dropped points and 2 more goals conceded.

Yeah, he would stop that set piece and free kick going in, no doubt.

And he would also put that cross far better than Young for Lingard's goal, considering his crossing is amazing.

Maybe both set pieces wouldn't have been conceded in the first place, I don't know. I'm just showing raw numbers, which may or may not be used to come to a reliable conclusion.

Aye, football is that simple.

I feel the team is better defensively with him on the team than without. Hope he's back soon

Still haven't won after 4 games since his injury.

Man Utd 3:0 Stoke
Damn that was a nice one!

So that’s what happens when he uses his left foot

Valencia scoring a cracker with his left foot. We've seen it all now.

All three of his goals this season have come in the first 10 minutes.

Forget the attempts from the insane dictators in The US and North Korea. That goal is the event that marks the beginning of the apocalypse.

Two brilliant strikes at Old Trafford this season. No idea where it's came from though. Can't even remember any goals like that when he was a winger.

Looks like a boot up the arse via some competition might have been good for him.

As someone who’s normally pretty critical of him he’s been good tonight. Really wish he’d get himself in positions like that more often but what a strike with his left. I didn’t think he even knew he had a left leg.

Been great today and offers a completely different outlet on that right flank. Laughing at all the posters who says he has lost his pace. He made a statue of an 18 year old fullback.

This is why ne frustrates me, fantastic goal with a foot he darent use 99% of the time.

His best game this season imo. Looks fresh and ready for the second part of the season.

An RB scoring great 3 goals is fantastic.

Loved it when Joe Allen put a pretty solid challenge in on him and he didn't move an inch. Absolute tank.

You couldn't tell Valencia was just back from an injury. Played very well today.

Even better is all 3 are opening goals which makes game bit easier.
