I saw a compilation of all his actions Vs Dortmund. Sometimes he misplaced a pass, made a questionable decision, or lost a duel, but ended up with 2 decisive assists from crosses from the right side of the pitch.

Definitely seems more a creator than scorer as there was a play where he had the goal at his mercy but passed instead and the chance went begging. I really hope he settles quickly and shuts up the doubters before any noise becomes unbearable

Good video, explaining what antony brings to utd. Sancho is described in the video as a playmaker winger. In contrast Antony is a more of a arjen robben. Can go inside and outside. Beat a man with ease or cut in on his left foot ala Robben to create a chance or to get a shot off. Created alot of chances for ajax. Also did huge amounts of defensive work. Guess we expect the same at utd.

I think he’ll get the entire second half after we’re trailing and Elanga stinks up the place.

Do we think he will start today or is it too early? I really don't think we should play Elanga so I suspect we may see a front 3 of Rashford, Sancho and Ronaldo with Antony coming on for the last 30 minutes

I'd be quite surprised if he doesn't start and disappointed. Reckon he will.

Think we're all desperate to see some flair and arrogance in our play.

Don't think he'll be out straight in, particularly in such a big game. I expect he'll come on after around 60 minutes though.

I'd be quite surprised if we see him at all. Perhaps towards the end for a few minutes depending on how it's going. He hasn't trained with Ajax since this started.

I'd agree if the front three were working.

Top end needs to be way better though against Arsenal and he has a reputation for working hard. So automatically he gives us what Elanga does.

His first game adrenaline will compensate for fitness.

This. Surely he’s gonna be quite a bit behind. He has trained and played a couple of friendlies though so it’s not starting from ground zero and he’s done three sessions with us. I expect a bench option with him coming on either at half time if we’re losing or otherwise 65-70.

Similar to Casemiro he will come on for 15 minutes, then maybe 30 minutes in the next game and then start the one after. No chance he starts this game after training twice with the team.

think we will do similar with elanga, let him tire them out for 60 then bring on antony to change the game hopefully. No chance does he start with only a few days training and meeting a new team

His crosses from the right wing are very dangerous. He doesn’t just throw it in either. He generally aims for the man quite successfully. I think Ronaldo will be a big benefactor in games where they are both playing together. I can see Antony finding Ronaldo in the box a number of times.

Hopefully Valencia/Rooney 2010 vibes.

Think you’ll be surprised then. Ten Hag didn’t start Casemiro after joining a few days before a game and I don’t think he’ll start Antony either. Don’t forget he hasn’t trained for over a week with Ajax so he would of only had a few sessions with the team. Don’t think it’s right to rush him in especially in such a big game.

Would love him to start over Elanga but fancy we'll not see him until the 60th minute unless we're getting beat.

Ten Hag seems the type to want to bed players in slowly

Id rather get the best team starting together personally. Which includes Antony and Casemiro

Won't be surpriesed if he is way behind in his fatness. He was injured at the start of the summer and refused to train before joining. A start for him might be a long way off.

He refused to train for 4/5 days and he was playing games for Ajax during the season.

His crosses will be useless without Ronaldo at the end of them.

I doubt that is the case with players who knows his system. Eriksen, Martinez and Antony know it, they were or will be thrown in (if they are physically fit).

People who think he’ll start today are forgetting that he’s only had a couple of sessions with the team and he’s not trained for like over a week with Ajax so I’d imagine he’ll be quite a bit behind in fitness. Think he’ll come on for like the last halve an hour of the game depending on what score it is.

The man is 22, he can run around for 60 minutes, I'm not sure why fitness is being brought up in the same way as it is with Cas and Ronaldo.

So much for the Caf fitness experts.
I’m not convinced him not training with the Ajax team means he’s not fit enough. He’s a professional who will still be doing his own training. It’s not like he would have sat on the couch eating Nachos and cheese while he’s waiting to be signed.

Exactly these professionals will be doing a lot of work to keep their fitness up behind closed doors. Plus he's 22, not 32.

Constantly at the STD clinic.
Go on Antony. Express yourself and show the world who you are. You have the platform now.

I really hope he keeps his flair up. Been needing a player like that

Be happy if he is, just thought it be to soon, obviously shows what Ten Hag thinks of our attack that he’d rush him straight in compared to the situation with mctominay starting over Casemiro when he first signed

Yup pretty much this. If Martial was fit no chance Antony would start, but competing with this Ronaldo and elanga? Seems easy.
