Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

If it really were to come down to relegation which players would you reckon, would bolt straight for the exits and which ones would stay (Buffom, del Piero etc)?
Couple of years ago i would have said silva, kompany and maybe aguero. Cant see many hanging around now. Fernandinho maybe? Sterling and De Bruyne would be the ones i'd concentrate on trying to keep. Sane would definitely be off. Not sure i'd be too pushed keeping Jesus or Mahrez, they're replaceable and their wages would be a problem if you were trying to comply with FFP in League two. B. Silva and Rodri i'd want to keep but don't really see why they would. Laporte, Ederson and Walker i'd want to keep again, getting any of them to stay would probably be a bonus though.

If Man City get thrown down to League 2, I don't think it's the wages of Jesus and Mahrez they have to worry about...

In fans.
And real, legit income generated probably too.
Before FFP there was Jack Walker, who pumped mega money at the time into Blackburn. Cumulating in them winning the Premiership in 95. They had managed to sign Shearer, the best striker around at the time as well. They would have been hit with FFP if it had existed then. Once Walker died, they went back to where they came from.

Accounts being investigated are 2012 - 2016 and they only won one title in that time. Thats my understanding
By who?
UEFA don't have the authority to strip city of any league title?

So would city and to a lesser extent Chelsea if they had to stand on their own two feet.

Exactly. City would be perrenial floaters between premier and league 1. Chelsea 12-6th in the Premier but never really challenge top 4

It is quite obvious that we did cook the books. Maybe still are doing, but does it really matter? For you lot it definetely does, you might actually get into CL...

If we get cleared, this wishful thinking thread can go into the muck, as according to the letter of the law we will be innocent. Like OJ is :). Ended up paying a hefty fine after the civil case but still walked free.

Personally I think 2 yrs ban will be overturned and nothing will happen as we will defend by all means.

Even if it won't and even if we end up in League Two, we will come back. Majority of us seen the club wandering through lower leagues, we will manage, won't we?

But now... Endless trunks of oil money guys, endless trunks. We can buy everyone and everything, like you could when Sky streamlined cash towards United in the 90's.

If it comes to an unlikely event of player exodus, you won't even have a sniff of a single one of them, will you? At this moment in time there are at least 4 clubs in Prem much more attractive for top top top players. None of yours will get nto our or dippers squad.

See you in few weeks after CAS suspends the ban until the case will be looked at...

Just imagine Sheikh Mansour in a white jeep being chased by the police through Manchester. Months later he shows up in court to reveal that all the money he's spent on City doesn't fit in his wallet and therefore "you must acquit"

Mansour then goes on to write a book "If I cooked the books"

My god that place really is the delusional pits of the earth isn't it?

There are genuinely fans on there who believe that along with Manchester City, the other big English clubs (namely our lot and your lot) could (and if not could, then should) band together about this issue of Manchester City being banned for financial doping and 'creative accounting' to tell UEFA to feck off..
Your lot and our lot ARE the two big clubs. City have never been anything, despite their recent winning ways.

The information we have come from the football leaks so it's likely to be pretty accurate.

Mbappe was loaned 1 year for free with a 145M option (+bonuses unlocked if he's sold or if his contract is extended) when he was 18, not to bend the rules of FFP but because Monaco wanted to manage their corporate tax for that year, then a 4 years contract. His salary is 50M for 5 years (started at 7M/year and increase every year).
PSG's president mentionned the fact that as far as the FFP is concerned, Mbappe was registered when he was loaned (and not when he was actually transfered) because we all sort of know that it wasn't a real option and that PSG was compelled to buy him (is think the option was completed if PSG managed to stay in Ligue 1 or something like that).

Does that answer your question?

Yes, thanks mate.

 I know this story!

The one thing Chelsea have going for them is location when trying to sign overseas players.

Personally, I dislike City a lot more than Leeds, but that's mainly to do with not knowing any Leeds fans whereas the City fans I know are insufferable, since the takeover they're indisputably my second most disliked team in the same time period Leeds have been irrelevant to us.
The hatred of Leeds probably stems back from the Don Revie days. Older fans remember them kicking the hell out of every side they faced and winning titles.

City play beautiful football on the opposite side but cheat in a different way. Real Madrid are still my most hated team ever though with Leeds. Leeds even wore white because of wanting to be Madrid too essentially.

Leeds fans are super aggressive to United supporters. More so than any out there and Madrid have been essentially financial doping for 70 years and calling it ‘gods club’. City aren’t that dillusional yet.

Chelsea were already a feature in the top 4 before Abramovich. Saying that they wouldn't challenge top 4 is not a claim you can comfortably make when we've got teams like Sheffield United and Wolves challenging the current top against Chelsea and United with money to name a few.

There is a thread for City's CL ban, this is for Bluemoon.

Guys why is anyone surprised or care? City is a wee club and always have been. We are talking about a club which is smaller then Blackburn.

Caring about city makes them look bigger then they are because the truth is they are a pebble in the shoe of a club the stature of United or Liverpool.

They got banned...100% deserved. Same should go with PSG. Clubs who were nothing in there leagues before oil money.
Well said that poster

This is how it feels to be city
This is is how it feels to rich
See you in court UEFA
Where we make you our bitch
Make you our bitch

I reckon UEFA are trolling City fans because of their booing of the anthem. You can imagine Infantino thinking 'I'll give you something to boo out'.

Can anyone remember why the booing started in the first place?

It's the sign of a small-time club and have never understood the origins of it.

The funny thing about City's players is that most of them love the place. So trying to pry them away will still be a challenge.

Wasn't it to do with getting caught cheating in 2014 for FFP? City fans said they were being victimised.
