Or is it a problem that he now has to share penalties with Ronaldo? That wasn’t even the case at first, and Ronaldo started taking them because Bruno missed the first one. Even then, big overpowering Ronaldo stepped aside and let him take our penalty at Arsenal, which he missed also. A player is responsible for their form generally speaking, but in this case, there is not even any real strong argument of Ronaldo being accountable.
That’s actually where you could’ve seen it — he never worried when he was taking penalties before, but with Cristiano waited in behind him, ready to take his turn when he misses, Bruno visibly shivered. That’s on Bruno though, Cristiano did everything right in that case.

he was literally voted player of the year for 2 consecutive years. He won the premier league player of the month 4 times in 2020 (if I recall, this was a record for a calendar year). He was short listed for ballon dor, he received a couple of goal of the month awards. He led a good spell under Ole which made us finish second (damn the times that made me celebrate this).

let’s agree that he has had a dip in form, a huge one, but saying he was never the best player and it was only stats is unfair. What does “only stats” mean? Aren’t stats relevant? Being top scorer and top assist maker is not relevant?

fans are emotional. Look at all threads. Even go through McTominay’s or Dalot for instance. A couple of good games last season, they got praised and people talk about them being capable of making a difference. Their form dip (their standard for me) and everyone slaughters them.

fans should just take a step back and think about the player objectively without emotions. Bruno is a very good player with certain attributes that need improvement. He also needs a functional team with proper CMs behind him. I know he’s good, I’ve seen it, no speculation here
I always felt he received all the attention for the teams upturn in form in his first season. I think he had the biggest impact but then the likes of Shaw, Martial, Greenwood, Rashford, Pogba, Matic all played big parts. As for the season we finished second he was terrible from January onwards and only penalties really covered the cracks. He’s been poor since his first 10 months here

He's still a good player further up the pitch but he works so much better with martial or a striker of his ilk rather than Ronaldo.

Bruno is capable of a press and his creativity is crucial in certain games. An attacking quartet of a bruno, rashford, Sancho and martial and still work, if coached well

Needs to get his shit together and fast. He's supposed to be a big player for us and he's letting us and himself down for the longest time now.ETH won't tolerate this for very long, nor should he.Get it together Bruno or step aside.

(BTW,I think you're a fantastic player and a nice guy,so pretty please,sort it out mate :))

that’s unfair. The team was doing well and he was the star of the team. All the names you mentioned were good, but he was the best week in week out. That’s why i always say, he will be great in a functioning team. There is a precedent here, not just hope.

he’s poor for the last 10 months. Point me to a united player who wasn’t poor for the last 10 months (excluding ronaldo with his goals maybe). Of we go with this, let’s sell them all and buy a new team

He’s been poor since December of his second season. Week in week out poor. Consistently.

Eriksen is more suited to ETH style so it is time to drop Bruno:

Some reports from questionable sources that Ten Hag really tore into him after Brentford. Could possibly end up dropped tonight?

His career path reminds me of Delle Alli. World at his feet. Unstoppable. Then just turned to shit in a single summer. So weird.

Why does this guy always start?? I seriously do not get it. He's genuinely worse than Maguire, who seems to get all of the stick from United fans

Lots of questionable moments with the ball and a few brilliant one but his second half was excellent when it comes to effort.

Ran his socks off, it wasn't the best game but he gave his all and I am sure ETH will appreciate it.

Good tonight. Why the feck is he not going for the corner at the end there though. Heart attack when he tried the miracle pass.

Tremendous effort, wasn't his best game on the ball.

Needs to cut out the playacting. 3 instances of it tonight, each one very embarrassing.

Put in a real shift.

Acted like a total bellend which is always quite amusing when it's your team and the clock is on your side.

Effort isn't enough. His passing was awful and honestly he's a fecking crybaby and I hate these kind of players.

That pass attempt at the end was a disgrace, could’ve thrown away the game there. Take it to the corner and see the game out.

Created excellent chance for Elanga but for me his work off the ball was just amazing. He had few very poor moments which could have cost us the game but when it comes to effort, he always leads from the front.

He should cut down those silly mistakes, I hope he gets proper recovery session. Doubt he has any energy left to even drive home.

That pass was for Ronaldo, I am sure he would be bollocked for it from Ronaldo if he didn't try it.

What an idiot he can be at times.

If he had gotten booked for refusing to give up the ball after being booked for an obvious dive, it would be the dumbest double yellow ever.
