No it's not. A quick Google of Reuters articles shows they're not strictly reporting on things that are exactly iron clad. If you look in this article you'll see examples. And they're just another agency that relies on their sources, as they did in the exclusivity article.

They will just go on as normal if they are proven to be wrong, as every single other media outlet does.
So, tell me. Did you read the article this time?

What a soul-destroying process. Genuinely don't really care who 'wins' now. The only real winners are the Glazers.

Nah, I really think if the Glazers swing it back again in Olde Jim’s favour Jassim will walk and leave them to it.

There’s 2 bidders FFS, offering VERY different deals. And it’s been that way for months.

If they wanna sell, go exclusive with Jassim, if they wanna stay, go exclusive with Ratcliffe.

They’re acting as if they are multiple similar bids for them to mull over when they’re polar opposite.

They by now obviously know which they prefer. So ffs just pull the fecking trigger you pathetic brats.

I’m not convinced they do know what they prefer, and their greed means they’ll probably see any offer as not enough.

I don’t think they’ll want to start the season without having accepted a bid as won’t want to risk their position being damaged by something like reaction to ESL. Other than that though they’ll be in absolutely no rush.

Is the stock price monitoring due to a belief that a sufficient amount our its trades are based upon information we in this thread aren't privy to?
Yes, primarily by people who do not work in the industry and have some pretty interesting misconceptions.

Yeah. Imagine if we have a shambolic summer and the sale only goes through at the end of the transfer window. ETH could find himself managing an incomplete squad while reporting up to people who didn't hire him and who don't necessarily share his vision. Very stressful prospect.

If he walks and Glazers for some reason stick around I'm probably done following United with any real vigilance. Not even joking. Because I'd be the poster boy for the definition of insanity.

Not even a drip of speculation, let alone news, about this since Thursday

5 days of nothing

When this has happened before (very often) I’ve thought maybe it’s because something is finally happening

… then we get an update that the process has been delayed for whatever reason

Anyone else just lost interest in the club completely just now until this is sorted? We are not a serious organisation at the moment really so there’s zero point putting emotional energy into it.

8 days until the AGM

Surely there will be enough questions or something concrete to come out at this time?

The Class A shareholders are invited so surely some will demand to know wtf is going on?

I haven’t watched us play since the FA Cup Final.

Yep. Emotional investment in this process is an endless one way ticket to depression.

May as well wait til we’re sold and then we can think about what players are still left on the market, if any.

I think for most of the anti-Jassim fans it’s pretty deep rooted and they’re very staunch.

If you notice, lots of fans who prefer Jassim tend to say, ‘if Ratcliffe wins I’ll be disappointed but will hope for the best’, whereas on the other side it’s much more binary (understandably as it’s based on their moral stance), and many of them seem unwilling to even give the 92 Foundation the benefit of the doubt and just give them a chance.

So no, I don’t think anything at this point will sway them.

In the future, I’m not sure. Only they could tell you that, but many of them won’t even engage beyond saying ‘that’s it for me’, which I respect, but it doesn’t really open the door to a good conversation.

What?!

More like "If Ratcliffe wins we'll be relegated, the club will fold and Old Trafford will be demolished and one of the Gallagher clowns will build a house where it stood "

The predictions of doom are a trademark of you Jassisms

I think whoever loses out should be forced to commit seppuku on the centre circle. I'll act as second if need be,
Forced to do a logic-based number puzzle on the center circle? That's a strange form of punishment, but fair enough...

Isn't that an analysis, rather than an exclusive that says definitively that jassim is in the lead, and wasn't the exclusive penned by the chief of their mergers and acquisitions team rather than two other writers?

Odds on the next update being that SJR and SJ are expecting to hear back by the end of the week....only for their to be no new update

Ah yes. Khaldoon Al Mubarak. The week after his side win an Treble having to defend himself from 115 counts of cheating. He's our man.

Jesus the attitude of some people on here. Have to reply with a sarcastic or snide response.

Did I say him specifically? Regardless of the financial doping side of their transfers, I would call anyone a liar who doesn’t cast a glance over to what they have done infrastructure wise around the stadium and not feel slightly envious. People who can make that happen, and appoint competent DoF, backroom staff, etc.. are the type I was alluding to.

You'd think it's fair to say that if we don't hear anything about the Glazers staying in some way fairly soon then this is an unlikely outcome.

Now, in the wilderness of a few weeks after the season has ended and several week before it starts is the ideal time to get this news out there, so it could in a way actually be quite good news that we are hearing nothing right now.

We should have thought this would be drawn out... Look at how we do transfers.

Waiting FC

See you in 2026 when the thread is locked and the sale is confirmed.

Nah, be fair.

There’re a decent number of anti-Jassims that are stating they’ll no longer follow the club if he takes over.

It’s not the same with anti-Rats. You’re not getting that response because it’s not a really a moral stance for most.

Myself, Berbaclass etc have been fervently Jassim buy have always said if Ratcliffe wins we’ll hope for the best. Whereas you’ve got long term posters and even mods saying ‘that’ll be it for me I think’ if Jassim takes over.

Look at Wumminator’s literal ‘moral’ crusade the other night. It’s about morals for these / you people and thus it’s obviously gonna have a more demonstrative reaction.

I’m not criticising that btw, I respect it, though I disagree.

AGMs are very rarely substantial. The company can just repeat existing boilerplate language to answer any questions.
