If Big Sam or Pulis had taken over they’d he sat around 10th or so now. He’s an appalling manager who hasn’t moved with the times. It's shocking stuff. They have a good enough squad for midtable, at least.

My post was tongue in cheek mate. He definitely has the talent at West Ham to be much higher than he is but the fact is theres enough evidence at this stage which points to him just not being a very good football manager. Of course when he inevitably fails there will still be some who think its the clubs/players fault.. again.I could accept that with SUnderland, they had a poor squad. But at the Hammers the squad is pretty decent. He has enough talent at his disposal to turn arround things.
Patrick Barclay, Jonathan Northcroft, Andy Dunn ( chief apologist extraordinaire ) , Henry Winter, Oliver Holt .............. take your pick. The general air of unrest at West Ham is providing him with his latest set of excuses. Ahead of their potentially season-defining game against Southampton, I expect we will see some articles by friendly journalists over the next few weeks about how hard it is for poor Moyes to manage in such a poisonous atmosphere.
West Ham United have abandoned plans to appoint a director of football with the club willing to back David Moyes’ judgment in the transfer market as they prepare to appoint him as manager on a permanent contract.
The Scot has yet to be formally offered the job, but talks over a contract extension are planned once West Ham’s place in the Premier League is mathematically secure, and both parties anticipate that the negotiations will end with Moyes extending his stay at the London Stadium.
Apparently It’s now 42-43 . West Ham fans are funny as hel
Transparently dishonest attempt to boost Bilic's stats from this season by including Carabao Cup games in there. It would have us believe that victories in all competitions are equal.A new contract?
Has no one at West Ham realized they have haven't been much if at all better since Moyes took over?
Bilic had 5 wins in 14 games when they sacked him, Moyes has 7 in 26. Progress
They are currently bottom of the Championship, so in hindsight shows what an awful group he had.Moyes has shown at West Ham that he is not totally shot (as I thought he was after Sunderland) but it’s would not be an inspiring appointment for an already disengaged fan base. From the owners’ perspective, Moyes will keep them in the premier league and is probably a cheap option these days. Beyond that, it’s dull football, an allergy to silverware or even cup runs and a drop off once Arnautovic decides he can do better.
You guess wrong, and even if you weren't wrong it wouldn't be a valid comparison.Go feck yourself with the personal abuse mate.
Nothing dishonest about it all seeing as i also included Moyes cup games. Guess you didn't pick up on that.
Two of Moyes 7 wins came in cup matches, perfectly valid to compare their records in all competitions. You guess wrong, and even if you weren't wrong it wouldn't be a valid comparison.
3 cup matches in 14 is completely different proportionally to 4 in 26.
I do think he bit off more than he could chew going to Spain. But Sunderland are bottom of champo and United finished 6th last year after spending 500m or something, making a lot of people who said only the worst manager in the world could finish 7th with United look like total idiots. Moyes needs to prove Everton wasn't an 11 year fluke with West ham next season. But I dont agree that it's inevitable at allMy post was tongue in cheek mate. A big reason Sunderland are in the championship though is because they were relegated under Moyes, they also had to sell a lot of their better players. They were not a very good team no, but other managers managed to keep them up. Under Moyes they were one of the worst teams in Premier League history.I do think he bit off more than he could chew going to Spain. At home anyway, as long as we remain a top 4 side - but the away games are a danger; first point he takes off us (let alone win) you can imagine the camera will be glued to his celebration, and masses of "redemption" articles in the press will follow the next dayokay so from now on we’ll have 3 points safe and sound in pocket everytime facing West Ham? I never doubt Moyes’s loyalty and dedication to us
But Moyes was not some observer at the scene of an accident - he was hired (presumably) to make a positive difference. Instead, he talked down their chances from day 1 (even though Allardyce had kept them up with some room to spare) and then signed absolute garbage, who contributed to the club’s free fall. It was a difficult gig but I don’t think he could have done much worse if he were a Newcastle fan actively trying to get them relegated. They are currently bottom of the Championship, so in hindsight shows what an awful group he had.
