Moyes was once the master at signing Championship players for cheap and having them turn out great. Bit of a weird criticism if that is what he is getting at.
Genuinely out of interest how many Championship players did he sign that turned out great for Everton?

Cahill & Jagielka anyone else?

Give it a rest, you don't like him, fine, but nearly every Manager is scrambling around in the last few minutes of the transfer window trying to make signings when they've had a month to complete deals, it's just how it is.

Time to move on.

Lots of managers are yes, but not all and not every manager does it on such regular basis as Davey does very window. He's been doing it for over a decade he almost exclusively does his business in the last few days of a window, which is why the Everton fans started calling him dithering Dave in the first place. He's obviously a very indecisive chap.

Time to move on.
For you? Maybe but thats your decision mate. For me theres no need to, there's nothing to move on from.

When Moyes was at Everton with Bill Kenwright holding the purse-strings he usually had to sell before he could buy so last minutes deals were the norm, and if memory serves it was the press who named him 'dithering Dave' when he was at United, could be wrong though.

I don't know if thats true and if he had only done it at Everton that might explain it, but he also did at one of the richest clubs in the world. Then at Sunderland and now at West Ham, so obviously this is down to Moyes.

Nah mate the Everton fans were calling him dithering dave over a decade ago. He's a long time ditherer.

At least he brought in a Championship striker for 10m and made a dream come true before it is too late

I sure hope Abramovic doesn't get any ideas about massively upgrading in the manager department.

They are going to get Marco Silva I bet. One window with dithering Dave and they have got cold feet. Silva is a right one though, bet he won't stay long if he gets the job.

Feel a bit sorry for the bloke, he's actually exceeded my expectations there since taking over. It was always happening though, when that 6month contract became common knowledge, blatantly just someone to steady the ship and keep them up so the owners can get ideas way above their station again and aim for someone with a bigger name.

West Ham will offer manager David Moyes a new, improved deal if he leads the club to Premier League safety this season.

A club source has denied a report suggesting that Moyes, who is on a six-month contract, will leave West Ham whatever the team’s position at the end of the campaign.

Instead, it is understood that should Moyes and his coaching team keep West Ham up, he will be offered a new deal, probably of two years, as the club look for continuity.

Any new deal would depend on Moyes’ financial demands, though, while the current negativity surrounding the club may well be another factor in the Scot’s thinking, should he be considering a longer-term stay.
Basically said enough to cover their backs if he doesn't stay.

West Ham are 3 points off the relegation zone, it's hardly a fine job he's doing.
Yeah he not doing great is he.

A few on here got giddy after the win over Chelsea and the draw vs Spurs, but they've actually been worse off since he took over. Here's West Ham's records this season under Bilic and Moyes in all competitions.

Bilic-----------------------Moyes

P-14----------------------P-19
W-5-----------------------W-5
D-3-----------------------D-7
L-6------------------------L-7

Win Ratio: 35.7%--------Win Ratio: 26.3%

Chelsea will be looking. Hey, they wanted Crouch or Carroll, what's to stop them from extending that philosophy to their manager recruitment?:smirk:

He'll end up managing England one day, despite being a Scot. He's shite so he fits the bill. Mark my words

Actually feel for him.

He's done a decent job there.

West Ham are a joke of a club though.
He kind of steadied the ship but the squad is way better than their league position. They should have never been anywhere near the relegation crap.

PSG might be looking though and he's got some experience of football on the continent.

Should be sacked just because he's playing João Mário so high up in the pitch.

Thought he'd made West Ham safe for some reason. Still has to get a few more points on the board I see.

Would be pretty funny if they still end up relegated after all.

Why is Mario not playing? Basically the only reason to tune in to watch that God awful team.

Last game of the season is home to Everton.
Imagine Big Sam relegating West Ham
