Classic in what sense ?Did anyone else find it amusing that West Ham have today signed Jordan Hugill from Preston North End?

Moyes was once the master at signing Championship players for cheap and having them turn out great. Bit of a weird criticism if that is what he is getting at.Classic in what sense ?
Exactly, and Séamus Coleman one of the best right-backs in the Premier for years for £60,000 from Sligo Rovers(who ?)Moyes was once the master at signing Championship players for cheap and having them turn out great. Bit of a weird criticism if that is what he is getting at.
Genuinely out of interest how many Championship players did he sign that turned out great for Everton?Moyes was once the master at signing Championship players for cheap and having them turn out great. Bit of a weird criticism if that is what he is getting at.
Give it a rest, you don't like him, fine, but nearly every Manager is scrambling around in the last few minutes of the transfer window trying to make signings when they've had a month to complete deals, it's just how it is.Classic dithering Dave has a whole month to try to sign players. But nope he waits until deadline day.
Lots of managers are yes, but not all and not every manager does it on such regular basis as Davey does very window. He's been doing it for over a decade he almost exclusively does his business in the last few days of a window, which is why the Everton fans started calling him dithering Dave in the first place. He's obviously a very indecisive chap.Give it a rest, you don't like him, fine, but nearly every Manager is scrambling around in the last few minutes of the transfer window trying to make signings when they've had a month to complete deals, it's just how it is.
For you? Maybe but thats your decision mate. For me theres no need to, there's nothing to move on from.Time to move on.

When Moyes was at Everton with Bill Kenwright holding the purse-strings he usually had to sell before he could buy so last minutes deals were the norm, and if memory serves it was the press who named him 'dithering Dave' when he was at United, could be wrong though.

I don't know if thats true and if he had only done it at Everton that might explain it, but he also did at one of the richest clubs in the world. Then at Sunderland and now at West Ham, so obviously this is down to Moyes. When Moyes was at Everton with Bill Kenwright holding the purse-strings he usually had to sell before he could buy so last minutes deals were the norm,
Nah mate the Everton fans were calling him dithering dave over a decade ago. He's a long time ditherer.and if memory serves it was the press who named him 'dithering Dave' when he was at United, could be wrong though.
I wouldn't pay too much attention to what somebody says on a football forum....I don't know if thats true and if he had only done it at Everton that might explain it, but he also did at one of the richest clubs in the world. I sure hope Abramovic doesn't get any ideas about massively upgrading in the manager department.Moysey is back on the open market, lads. This is not a drill. Repeat. THIS. IS. NOT. A. DRILL.

I get the feeling Silva will go to Everton. They are going to get Marco Silva I bet. One window with dithering Dave and they have got cold feet. Silva is a right one though, bet he won't stay long if he gets the job.
Basically said enough to cover their backs if he doesn't stay.West Ham will offer manager David Moyes a new, improved deal if he leads the club to Premier League safety this season.
A club source has denied a report suggesting that Moyes, who is on a six-month contract, will leave West Ham whatever the team’s position at the end of the campaign.
Instead, it is understood that should Moyes and his coaching team keep West Ham up, he will be offered a new deal, probably of two years, as the club look for continuity.
Any new deal would depend on Moyes’ financial demands, though, while the current negativity surrounding the club may well be another factor in the Scot’s thinking, should he be considering a longer-term stay.
Yeah he not doing great is he.West Ham are 3 points off the relegation zone, it's hardly a fine job he's doing.
He kind of steadied the ship but the squad is way better than their league position. They should have never been anywhere near the relegation crap.Actually feel for him.
He's done a decent job there.
West Ham are a joke of a club though.
Very surprising, he probably didn’t have many other options. And now paddy Evra wants to work with him again. Weird
Cry me a river.Moysey is back on the open market, lads. This is not a drill. Repeat. THIS. IS. NOT. A. DRILL.

Last game of the season is home to Everton.Thought he'd made West Ham safe for some reason. Still has to get a few more points on the board I see.
Would be pretty funny if they still end up relegated after all.
