Disastrous, the team we had put notwithstanding Pellistiri should be good enough to at least put one past this awful Palace side but since going behind we had our forwards feeding on scraps and not being really put through in spaces where they can inflict harm. We actually allowed Palace of all teams to shepherd us out to the wings where we were again useless.

Can't see it getting better from here on in.

The biggest problem has been the recruitment. Just dogshit from all involved in the recruitment structure at the club and that seemingly includes Murtough, Ten Hag and others. Ten Hag is definitely no miracle worker but he does have some qualities as a coach and with better recruitment we'd be looking a lot better. Bad transfers will likely cost him at some point though. He hardly helps himself at times with his subs and selections either, but that largely again comes back to the recruitment.
I think this is the real problem. Bad transfers costed Ole’s job and now ETH. We had zero tolerance in transfer failure due to three signings per year constraints. If they fail, it becomes disastrous.
ETH needs to see himself in the mirror now. 4 losses in 7 is ridiculous.

That cnuts name should be forbidden on here. He wasn't right about anything.

He was right he said he didn't respect Ten Hag and he clearly isn't the only one.

It makes no difference how much time or money you give a manager.

If he can't hold the respect of the players it's hopeless.

These players do not believe in him and there's nowhere to go

Ajax is soon going to have a remedy for their own troubles. More losses like this one and ETH will be out of a job.

We are very vulnerable in defense, poor on the ball and poor in attack. I don't know what the problem is but ETH has a lot of work to do and do it fast. We lose games against team much worse then us in terms of player quality.

The job is looking too big for him.

Toss all the chaos off the pitch aside; he's well short on coaching aspects, tactical adjustments, [positive] game altering substitutions, formation set up and controlling games.

He's the only post Fergie manager I've been 100% behind, so this one has saddened more than the others.

Each week more doubts are arising, not less, which is the biggest red flag of all.

He has to start showing something soon. I've been prepared to give him the time he needs but he also needs to provide us with glimpses of what we can expect in the future. At the moment we have not had a single good performance this season where we can go "that's the team of the future". Im fine with finishing 5th or not winning a trophy if we are playing good football and it is clear that its 2 or 3 players that we need to complete the team. But at the moment we are not seeing anything and moreso, the tactics today were incredibly naive. We had no width, the overlaps were almost none existent, the players did not know how to pull palace out of shape. Its a simple tactic that any team can do against us and it seems as a team we don't know what to do. That I have to put on Ten Hag. He has to show something, not getting top 4 and not putting in good performances is a quick way to lose your job.

When you’re bringing on Maguire and Van de Beek with a few mins left of a game it’s a sign you’re clueless and don’t know what you’re doing.
Said it a few weeks back, it’s the beginning of the end for him. He’s not getting a tune out of these players at all:
Can bitch and moan about the glazers day and night but he won’t and shouldn’t keep his job if we’re mid table and stinking the place up week in week out.
His signings played today and did nothing. He can moan about injuries but what difference exactly would reguilon and wan Bissaka have made today?
It’s completely garbage football and I’m honestly flabbergasted at why United fans were so convinced on him.

Losing against this nothing team at home is shocking. Injuries not an excuse, there were enough of his signings on the field.

Manager is lost at the moment. Clueless

It's unfair to judge him on this performance.

We really need new owners who are willing to give him an open chequebook, remove all the deadwood, get a full squad of players who play according to his vision and he is able to field his best 11 without injuries, can we expect him to match Palace at home.
How about on everything after the League cup final up to today? Because we've been absolutely shite since then, some of you are just waking up to it.

He's spent £400m and we're worse. Now we're stuck with Antony and Mount when he gets the boot, they're both unsellable and any decent manager will see they don't offer enough to start for United so they'll want £400m to replace them.

Considering the season looks done and dusted in terms of getting any meaningful achievement, I just don't see the point of keeping him around for the rest of the season, finishing outside of a CL spot and having to also write off next season as an "adaptation period" for our new manager.

Logic would demand a sack now, bring in a new manager and give him this season as a period to get a feel for a squad and bring in some of his own desired signings in the winter window, we're likely not getting top 4 nor getting relegated so doesn't matter if we finish 7th of 15th, just let whomever replaces ETH get a feel for the club the rest of this season so he can be prepared for the upcoming one.

But of course if we were a club that did the logical thing, we wouldn't be where we are.
seriously, who would you bring in at this stage?

He has one option left. Pull almost a "fergie" and try the youngsters, go with what he did midweek. If he tries to rely on the likes of rashford and bruno he is done.

He needs to show its not him its them...it just depends if he has the guts.

We are so boring. Keep passing sideways between defenders. The moment we try to attack we lost the ball. It was so easy to defend against us. Feeling deja Vu like LVG. Almost felt asleep.

Here we are again looking to sack the manager. But Arnold and Murtough need to go too. We need to revamp the whole football structure.

He was poor today. The players are not helping right now, but subsitutions is all him, and there are no excuses.

We have seen from pre season onwards that Erickson and Casemiro are struggling for mobility more than they were last year. Playing both at the same time is suicidal, it makes it so easy to play through the middle, and every time he does it, the opponents have a field day.

He should have learned by now. And with hannibal on the bench, there is no excuse for doing it again.

More than the results, it’s the poor poor football that’s troubling. Yes injuries, but then there’s no clear approach or gameplay or tactics. It feels so robotic and disjointed.

And thanks for adding to our pile of deadwood, Erik. Only the £400m.

It's like going back in time two years to the dying days of Ole's reign. No sign whatsoever that he knows how to turn things around. Yes he's had bad luck with injuries, but it's zero excuse for getting beaten by Crystal Palace at home. Comfortably beaten at that. They won't have an easier away game this season.

We are disjointed and completely all over the place. We finish the game and it's like someone has vomited players onto the team sheet and we went with wherever the bits landed.

You can't help but start to wonder about him, but I will say that collectively we are a mentally weak team and that is the worst trait about us.

His subs never fail to make us worse. The form is very concerning. No excuse is good enough for that showing.

I’ve not got a lot of sympathy, he knows what he has to do, he just hasn’t got the balls to do it.

We need him taking a job in Saudi to help clear up some of the mess he's brought here.

Last season we gave him the benefit of the doubt. Some good performances but many unconvincing ones, including some poor wins in that great run but a win was a win. It was his first season, had to deal with Ronaldo, Sancho and Maguire - did well on all

Now he has had 2 summers and made some extremely questionable signings, and most importantly I see almost 0 style of play in all this time. What the feck is Ten Hag football?

Why wouldnt you play Jonny Evans, Hannibal, Garnacho in todays team? Ten hag shot himself on the foot today big time. Changed a winning side too much and ended up with the sane performance.

Rashford has completely gone backwards as well. Absoloute world beater for 5 months and then total crap. He needs hooking as well.

Starting to lose faith in him now, it would be great to have a manager that is gifted with common sense.

His stubbornness ego needed a good popping, when will he remove the mask to reveal it's Mourinho?
