Nope

Doesn't quite work as well as the Ole one, because Ten Hag actually looks like he could be the kingpin in a gangland drug war.

In fact, he even looks like Heisenberg. Feck bringing in McClaren as his assistant. He needs Jesse Pinkman.

Here we go again.

The problem isn't the manager. These players won't put the work in for this guy either.
The manager has definitely been a problem the past 9 years. Not the only one, but a problem none the less. And we'll likely have 10 players leaving this summer anyway with all the contracts expiring.

Like what Moyes did when he first came -- got rid of all of Fergie's staff.
Things are a little diffent now, hardly comparable. Your talking about going from a manger who had 25 years at a club who left an ageing squad that the coaches knew how to get success from and what coaching worked for the players in the squad.

Compared to now, were basialy the new manager has to come in tear down what’s here as it’s a complete shambles, in terms of fitness, attitude, tactics, progression of players, recruitment everything has had been a complete mess. The two situations are not comparable. We tried going back to Fergie staff bringing back Phelan.

We need new ideas at the club, fresh eyes, clean slates, not to bring back people who where once successful here In diffrent situations.

I cannot pretend that I am excited about the appointment. A manager who has never managed a team in top flight leagues of world football, does not inspire confidence, especially when the abject failure of ex-Ajax manager De Boer at Palace is so fresh in the mind (and he is not alone).

He has not got the force of personality that this club so desperately needs, just to try and make work the shambles that exists above him and below him

Neither does the departure of top scouts at the club make up for the utter incompetence that has existed under the ownership of our football club which has allowed bankers to rule the roost over which players should and should not come in.

Until the hierarchy is dealt with, even the likes of Conte would have his work cut out. But at least we would hear about it. And there would be some ass kicking. We don't need another compliant inexperience manager who will bow to player power.

He will, of course, get my full support!!

Who’ll be leaking all this info? If true then they need to be gone ASAP… sick of seeing leaks every week about players complaining, they have no right to complain with how there playing. We need to build a squad full of good personalities.

“Gaps” that need to be filled club again pressing ETH to go mainly with the staff already here. Sad, this is exactly why we are the most dysfunctional club in thw world
Where are you getting this from? Reports say Phelan and Armas are leaving, and so may others. Ten Hag doesn't have a fixed staff of his own and only appears to be bringing Van der Gaag along, plus is looking to add McLaren. It's well possible that gaps in the staff will remain after that, plus Ten Hag might want his staff to consist of a specific group of specialists. So it makes a lot of sense that the club are discussing with Ten Hag what staff they have, what he wants, and where the gaps are.
Why would you harm bananas?
* No bananas were harmed in the execution of this phrase.

(Also, as a nerd, I'm actually wondering where the harm reference fits in! :D )

If true, I really hope we just tell the players straight up, if you're not happy with the appointment then feck off.

But no, I'm sure they'll be happy to stay as they won't get paid as much elsewhere. Instead they'll just down tools from day one and feck everything up for yet another manager.

Ten Hag confident of Manchester United revival without lavish budget | Manchester United | The Guardian

The Dutchman views the group he will inherit as having vastly underperformed this season and feels it contains four groups of players worth persevering with.

The first are those at the pinnacle of their careers, where Ten Hag places Bruno Fernandes and Raphaël Varane; then those entering that phase, in his opinion Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay; others on an upward trajectory, such as Jadon Sancho; and youngsters emerging from the academy for whom he sees a bright future, including Hannibal Mejbri, Alejandro Garnacho and James Garner.

Heading Ten Hag’s targets are expected to be a midfielder – West Ham’s Declan Rice is on the shortlist – although Donny van de Beek, with whom he worked with at Ajax and who is on loan at Everton, will be given a chance to revive his United career. A centre-back and a centre-forward will also be a priority.
Hell, I agree with everything about that. Great to see McT on that list, he's got a good attitude. IMO if we have to sign a very expensive player, we could do a lot worse than Rice.

Great that it is done. Now, the most important thing is that we get rid of players that don't deserve to be here. Start summer with new blood and new faces and hope that change of players can help TenHag to a positive start.

Surely, this is just about age group thingy?

No way RR, or ETH would look at Rashford and think he's on the verge of reaching his career peak. He looks like he's arriving at retiring stage of his career. He's currently seriously bad, and on regressing trajectory.
