Great news.
He's the sort of manager that Pep and Klopp wish they were. So, genuine question as someone who knows nothing about him.
Am I right in saying he’s better than Pep and Klopp?
You realise this is CAF right?Oh my god!! Someone who understands football and is on an upward trajectory is our manager? I request redcafe members to not ruin it for me. Please.
Doesn't quite work as well as the Ole one, because Ten Hag actually looks like he could be the kingpin in a gangland drug war.
The manager has definitely been a problem the past 9 years. Not the only one, but a problem none the less. And we'll likely have 10 players leaving this summer anyway with all the contracts expiring. Here we go again.
The problem isn't the manager. These players won't put the work in for this guy either.
Things are a little diffent now, hardly comparable. Your talking about going from a manger who had 25 years at a club who left an ageing squad that the coaches knew how to get success from and what coaching worked for the players in the squad.Like what Moyes did when he first came -- got rid of all of Fergie's staff.
That's way too expensive for a pre-sason friendly, I wouldn't go either at those prices! It's over 700 USD for a good ticket in this match. I was going to go but not at that price.
You mean like the silent owner of the club Phil JonesHe's probably one of the few safe from the chop and will fit Ten Hag's system to be fair, plus is there anyone you want to hear from?
Who gives a flying feck what any of those clowns think? Most of them will be shipped out over the next few windows.Tweet

I hope he fills the team with academy players, we have some talented players at that level and he could be the man to build a team out of them.Tweet

Who’ll be leaking all this info? If true then they need to be gone ASAP… sick of seeing leaks every week about players complaining, they have no right to complain with how there playing. We need to build a squad full of good personalities.Tweet

Where are you getting this from? Reports say Phelan and Armas are leaving, and so may others. Ten Hag doesn't have a fixed staff of his own and only appears to be bringing Van der Gaag along, plus is looking to add McLaren. It's well possible that gaps in the staff will remain after that, plus Ten Hag might want his staff to consist of a specific group of specialists. So it makes a lot of sense that the club are discussing with Ten Hag what staff they have, what he wants, and where the gaps are.Tweet

“Gaps” that need to be filled club again pressing ETH to go mainly with the staff already here. Sad, this is exactly why we are the most dysfunctional club in thw world

I have a feeling a lot of the "ambivalent" ones won't be working with him anyway.Tweet

Probably, although apart from Fred I don't see any excited welcome messages on their twitters etc.Bullshit I call. Such a cheap and easy tweet.
This lot would have been underwhelmed if it was Alex Ferguson coming in.What a group of snivelling cretins they are. Utterly dislikable bunch that probably sit in the same likability tier list as Skyler White.
Anyone who doesn't want to work with him can leave.Tweet

Hell, I agree with everything about that. Great to see McT on that list, he's got a good attitude. IMO if we have to sign a very expensive player, we could do a lot worse than Rice. The Dutchman views the group he will inherit as having vastly underperformed this season and feels it contains four groups of players worth persevering with.
The first are those at the pinnacle of their careers, where Ten Hag places Bruno Fernandes and Raphaël Varane; then those entering that phase, in his opinion Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay; others on an upward trajectory, such as Jadon Sancho; and youngsters emerging from the academy for whom he sees a bright future, including Hannibal Mejbri, Alejandro Garnacho and James Garner.
Heading Ten Hag’s targets are expected to be a midfielder – West Ham’s Declan Rice is on the shortlist – although Donny van de Beek, with whom he worked with at Ajax and who is on loan at Everton, will be given a chance to revive his United career. A centre-back and a centre-forward will also be a priority.
Great that it is done. Now, the most important thing is that we get rid of players that don't deserve to be here. Start summer with new blood and new faces and hope that change of players can help TenHag to a positive start.Tweet

It’s a good job we have our Walter White then to come in and tell them who the danger is.What a group of snivelling cretins they are. Utterly dislikable bunch that probably sit in the same likability tier list as Skyler White.
That's a point i hadn't considered actually. Is Fred really the only one who has welcomed Ten Hag so far?Probably, although apart from Fred I don't see any excited welcome messages on their twitters etc.
