Absolute mad-dogg performance. His aggression and world class ability to sniff out an opposition pass and turn it into a counter attack along with quick one touch passing is immense.

Right now he's unlucky after a great preseason not to be preferred, but perhaps a bit misjudged to be trusted as a no6, which he's not but as a no8 he's Brazilian international quality and extremely valuable player. I am sure his time will come and he plays himself into starting 11 at some point. He's too good not to be given proper chance by a smart manager like ETH. Season's long anyway.

He won't get the plaudits but he was absolutely superb when he came on. He gets a lot of stick, but when played in his favoured position as a box to box forward pressing CM, he's brilliant. Rather than a sitting DM which has never been his position and he should never have been played there.

If one of Bruno or Erikson get injured or are rested or even if we just want an extra man I. Midfield and on less attacking player against the better sides, Fred is the guy for me.

Box to box fred is the Fred to have. That's why Casefred works for Brazil. Casemiro entirely focused on being CDM and Fred running around like an annoying Mosquito everywhere and pressing. It would be really well complemented by someone like Eriksen as CAM which would mean Bruno benched. Would bring us midfield control during a game which we severely need.
