I've given Maguire a lot of s-t this year but he was good today. Which, after how shaky he was midweek, I am surprised about. Long may it continue!
Looked a bit more "bossy" today.

State of the people in wanting him to feck up against West Ham. No idea how anyone can want a player to not perform and call themselves a fan of the team. Harry slotted in well today and had a positive game. West Ham managed 1 shot on target all game thanks to the efforts of the defence.

I thought he had an absolutely cracking second half....added to a decent first half and that's a very good game

He’s so good aerially. Absolutely dominated everything which then allows us to control games and sustain pressure. How people don’t see what he brings when in form I have no clue - hopefully getting dropped was the kick up the arse he needed.
Maguire was focused and most importantly agressive, he really went for those 50/50 balls.

Back to his best today glad for him. I think he could have stayed on his feet for the time he got booked, and some of his headers in 1st half were wayward, but it should give him some confidence.
One of his better games in a while. Won everything in the air and did well in a few 1v1 situations as well.
Wish he had a bit more composure though. A lot of times he had the chance to chest the ball and keep possession or head it back to DDG and yet every time he preferred to head it towards the opposition and giving them the possession

One of his best performances this year. THAT'S what I've wanted to see. It's fine that he's not very quick, but if he's going to be slow then he has to be a collossus in challenges and be brave. That tackle on Bowen early was a perfect example of that, and something he's failed to show in the past.

Basically RedCafe in a nutshell, one good performance and suddenly many many matches of shite, many many mistakes and so on are forgotten and everyone who ever said he did any of those things is a clown and he's world class. Same thing always happens with McTominay and other players. He played exceptionally well today, great for him and great for us. Now let's hope he pushes on and continues to perform like this, otherwise, how is anyone who has ever questioned him a clown?

That’s 3 absolutely rediculous things that a top class center half just doesn’t do. These are the things that sometimes you get away with like today, other times you don’t and you look like an idiot.
the result will favor peoples opinion on his performance today but he makes too many errors of judgement to be a top player.

He did the odd clumsy thing but he was good. He is a good player. A run of a few games without injury and his touch and confidence will come back.
This is good for United. He’ll form a settled partnership with Varane and we can concentrate on sorting out the real problem - midfield.

Good game from slab head. His tendency to want to see a lot of the ball compliments Varane really well, who is just happy to get rid of it as quickly as possible. Varane's long ball is utter dross, Maguire's is decent (and was very good today).
Better. Fingers crossed he has woken up.
I think the decisive moment was around 15th minute mark or so. The west ham forward had a free run at him. Harry timed his tackle perfectly, won the 1vs1 and got applauded by the stadium.

Perhaps he had to make that tackle attempt or Bowen could run inside the box from the right and they have players who can charge into our goalkeeper.
Perhaps wasn't at his absolute best but thought this was better than the last 4 months combined.
We all know he is a better player than what he has shown this season. Long may it continue, on form he will be a valuable part of the team.

He actually IS a top player. He plays for England and is captain of United.
He was good today compared to some of his performances this season and he’s only just back from injury. His decision making is a bit impaired and will be until he’s fully match fit which might take a while. In any case he was pretty solid.
Probably his best games of the season, him and Varane made Antonio played like Lukaku. Did everything right apart from the yellow card and some stupid long balls in the first half
