Donkeys. Him and Lindelof.
The jury is out on Varane, he seems to be made from glass.
Which means we have no solid CBsat our club

Can't get over him letting the ball run through his legs in that position.

Said it before and said it again;

Take the L on him. Admit defeat. Accept the banter and the criticisms but persisting with this decision and defending it by playing him as our fecking captain makes us look even more deluded and clueless. He is footballing asbestos.

Maguire is the epitome of the gamblers fallacy; because we invested a lot we cannot walk away and continue to pay more and more in via his contract and the constant loss points on the pitch.

Take the L, lose £50m on him and move on. It's about being brave and strong here.

Weakness is keeping him and persisting with him in defence.
The way things are done at this club, he'll either get extended and/or leave on free

He did alright but that one moment of the ball going through his legs sums up his season. Just inexplicably bad.

Wasn't his day, megged for the first goal, inadvertent assist for the second and crucial deflection that took it past de gea for the third. Non of which he could do an awful lot about. Dont think he had that bad a game, unfortunately the shitshow that was going on further up the field meant he spent most of second half running backwards desperately trying to stop counter attacks.

He's supposed to be the leader of the club on and off the pitch, he should be raising standards, demanding more from the players. He's not!!

Crying shame that Jones' career was ruined by injuries while Maguire is bullet proof.

The biggest issue with him isn’t even his lack of agility, it’s the fact that he’s so slow to process mentally what’s going on around him, that leads to the dilly dallying on the ball with his ‘world class’ passing and situations like today when he let the ball back in.

Even if he manages to pick himself up somewhat and cut out the comedy errors, that aspect of his game will always remain.

I liked how he clattered De Bruyne. Shane it was on 55 minutes rather than 5. The game had gone by that point.

People said he was just 'out of form' - this IS his form, always will be, one of the worst signings we have ever made. He got bullied by a kid today for 90mins.

I'm very sad that he plays (that word is doing a lot of heavy lifting) for our club. That's all.

Embarrassing that this guy is the captain of Manchester United. It's actually quite disgraceful.

My ability ratings for this season -

Short passing (only forward) - 6/10
Long pasing (only forward) - 3/10
Communication - 4/10
Possitioning - 4/10
Speed - 1/10
Man marking - 3/10
Slide tackling - 2/10
Shot blocking - 2/10
Defensive heading - 6/10
Jumping - 2/10

And the final most important for me as a captain -

Mental strength - 0/10
Captaincy - 0/10

In my opinion he does not have the qualities to play for us. He should be made an example of for the long term health of our club.
He should be sold or released at any cost.

Unfortunaly he’s just one of hundreds of mistakes made in the last ten years. The captaincy is just the cherry on the top..

Mate, he can't pipe up and demand more because that player will just whip out their phone and show his highlight reel on YT and he'll be embarrassed in front of the dressing room

How well do we play in defense when Maguire isn't around though? Maybe he plays better individually but his mere precense just completely unsettles our backline and leaves us a mess, we have no organisation and everybody panics when he's around
When Maguire wasn't around in the month of January De Gea had to make more saves than any other keeper in the league and won player of the month for the league. In fact, De Gea was our MOTM in every game but one. Vs West Ham. The only game Maguire played. But go on...tell us again how much better the team defends when Maguire doesn't play

Thought he was fine today. Generally defended well in one on one situations.

I saw a lot of posts in the match day thread heaping blame on Maguire for Citys opening goals, but really he had no part to play in either of them. I'm sure the agenda peddlers and those wanting to argue in bad faith will be here shortly to blame him regardless.

He had a far better game than Lindelof, AWB and Telles who were really at fault for two of Citys goals for instance. But nobody really seems to care.
Yeah, the scapegoating really is bad. Too many agendas in our fan base. Fact is, everyone was horrible today but Maguire was nowhere near the worst of the lot...

So, you're happy with that performance from the captain of Manchester United? Zero fight from the team. Stems from him. Not a good enough player, weak mentality. Sadly we've too many other issues, but I wouldn't be at all sad to see the back of this slow weak individual.

You are to Maguire what haram was to Lukaku
He's been here 3 years and you still can't fault him for anything- It's everyone else's fault that Maguire's world class reading of the game is causing us problems.

He is pure comedy. Gets a touch when he shouldn't. Leaves the ball rolling through his legs when he shouldn't. Commits when he shouldn't. Makes the wrong decision pretty much every time it's decisive this season. Quite a treat.

Why did he dummy the ball for the second goal? Ive gone through some calculations and I can’t understand what his thinking was.

"Thought he was fine today"

Are you for real??? We just got absolutely pasted again by a rival and Maguire turned in another one of his usual performances.

This is the standard and level that he plays at. Its not good enough for this club.

Captain Embarrassment.

Nutmegged twice, booked, deflected the third goal and then hid from the cameras at the end by sending out McT. Yeah captain marvel.

Aside the Liverpool loss where he’d been called out previously he’s done this throughout his captaincy. He has 0 leadership in him.

Played pretty well today, despite his defensive teammates having absolute disasters. Feels he’s back in some reasonable form.
