*pukes*
This is either getting misunderstood (in the sense that he probably meant more like cried in frustration) or Klopp is bullshitting. Because when it was actually happening, Klopp was going ballistic at the touchline.

Top manager. He should have followed Sir Alex as our manager. Too bad he has a liking for restoring fallen clubs to their former glory. Said Liverpool will be ready to win the title by the 4th year and here we are. Hate it.

Why are we obsessed with this guy? Let's get back on our feet, get a great manager in (we just sacked the best, so let's get next best) and we will be in the mix again next season. Hopefully with some investment help this time, with these muppet of owners who has no idea WTF football is. And no more snakes in the dressing room.

I think this is what makes them good - they are a team with no bloody Insta stars

Somebody needs to beat them already. Their unbeaten league run has gone on for too long. I remember Liverpool ended City's unbeaten run last year. Time for City to return the favor.

He often said he would never go to places like Real or Barca because he doesn't want to handle big ego's in the locker room. What it really means is that he has a liking for places where he can compete on the highest level but winnig is not expected.

Yes thats obviously the missing link, that's why we're not successful anymore, the online social media platform Instagram! Quick someone alert the team, we will change EVERYTHING by getting off Instagram, Manchester United is saved!!!!

I remember Salah and Milner have Twitter accounts. Players like Firmino and Henderson have active Facebook pages as well.

It’s the football forum. Stick to the United forum in future maybe.

Also, Mourinho the best. Hahahahahahahah

Net spend is kind of important for context. Liverpool would be a better team if they still had Coutinho.
Net spend is bollocks. Specially when they sold Coutinho just as the market for big clubs buying the most hyped players went bananas. The guy went for at least 60m more than he should've done. They've done very well buying quality for decent prices too, which imo makes net spend even more bollocks. Just because you've got value out of the market doesn't make you any better a club. You've still bought that same quality in, which is surely the point that anyone bringing up net spend is trying to negate. I'm not sure how it makes any difference whether you paid 40m or 80m for the same player.

When you take into account the kind of costs added just for being United too it catapults it into ultimo bollocks.

He likes to work with young players as his style of football is about lot of run and gun. Requires a lot of effort and buying into his philosophy. Usually big clubs have a few primadonnas to whom this may not be acceptable. Though, I think he may eventually end up at Bayern once he is done with Liverpool.

Not really, rather the pitch that captain Ed made was ridiculously bad. It was a brainfart of an idea to think that Klopp would like to work at Disneyland.

Some serious ball-licking in this thread. Still hasn't won a fecking bean with them.

Think his time with Liverpool has shown he's much more a cringey Liverpool manager than a Man Utd manager. No regrets now - just wish we hadn't picked sour bake to replace Van Gaal.

Last time I saw someone go up in the air like that I was playing Battlefield 2.
To be fair to Sturridge ,Bardsley had just attempted to end Moreno's career with a vicious tackle. It was self preservation ie "evasive action" :smirk:

a few weeks earlier:
Sturridge has been diving for years.

The media love to ignore the English players doing it.

Klopp's defending his players but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he was telling Salah to go down if he feels contact. He did that against Newcastle. The first penalty on Saturday was a clumsy challenge by Sokratis though.

Football cubs, well most of them, have a limited amount of money to pay their bills and also to spend. Saying net spend is bollocks, is well bollocks.

If you get paid every week or month, assuming you work - Then you pay your bills, and you spend, and you balance it all up, otherwise you accumulate loads of debt, and go bankrupt. Liverpool bought Allison and Van Dijk, using the Coutinho money. We could not have bought both, unless he went.

Unlike UTD, who can pay players 500k a week for scoring 1 league goal this season, or paying copious amounts of money to players like Ibrahimovic, Di Maria, or other money chasing ‘stars’, Liverpool simply have to balance their books.

Saying net spend does not matter, is completely ludicrous, and if you said that any successful business or enterprise worldwide, they would laugh you out of town because it’s a complete fallacy.

Also, taking away the money element, and focusing on quality is important, but other than Leicester, the teams that have spent the most, have generally won the Premier League. Money makes a huge difference, and how it is managed, makes all the difference.

Net spend is complex and can't be worked out by fans on a forum unless you understand how the football business works, or any business for that matter. Anyway, you need access to the accounts of a club. Smartly run or rich clubs will have franchises around the world and other assets to protect their businesses and make more money.

When a club buys a player on a typical five year contract, the buying club will usually pay the selling club a set amount of money per year, not in one go unless the selling club demands it.

It's a lot like financing for a car or mortgage. Here's a simple example, excuse the shoddy maths:

Liverpool agree to purchase Alisson from Roma for a total of £65 million which will paid over a period of five years.
There might be an upfront fee + the yearly/monthly payments.
Liverpool pay £25million upfront, then additional 8 million per year for the next five years.

Then consider all these fees:
Agent and lawyer fees both clubs will pay.
An insurance policy has to be taken out on the player.

Player's wages.

Why do you pay in instalments?
Because Liverpool's money is making money elsewhere!
You don't pay it all in one go otherwise you lose out on interest.
If Liverpool have 100 million in the bank, they are making 10k in interest PER DAY. Take 65 million out and you are making half in interest straightaway.

You've missed the point entirely. It's bollocks in terms of fans trying to use it as oneupmanship because of the reasons I mentioned.

He really is an insufferably cringey man, isn't he?
He hams up everything so much, everything he does is playing to the gallery its so irritating.
