Diego Alves with ANOTHER penalty save.

Best keeper in the world at saving penalties.

You knew as soon as he stopped that he'd missed. Waited too long almost.

Alves is brilliant at saving penalties too.

Alves really is one hell of a penalty stopper

IIRC, Diego Alves' penalty saving record is more than 50%? Insane. Great game this.

Ancelotti out, Bale sold, Ronaldo villified. Wonder what else'll happen over the summer at Real.

So that's all 3 subs done, why didn't he just start with Carvajal and Marcelo

Think it's %50. 16 saves outta 32 penalties. Ridiculous stat.
Lev Yashin had a crazy penalty record, but Alves is probably the best keeper I've seen in recent history saving penalties.

Even the great keepers such as Schmeichel were renowned for bad penalty saving records.

missed much of the 1st half, but Bale has looked pretty good to me.

Look at Alves' anticipation. Unbelievable. This guys a ninja. 50 percent save ratio, never seen anything like it.

Lucho's reaction after the second goal. You can hear the players celebrate in the dressing room

I hope I didn't just jinx it.

Yashin apparently had saved more than 150 penalties in his career, though no idea what is his ratio. Likely bigger than 50% so, I doubt he had to deal with 300 penalties or more in his career.
