* Yet he's been the subject of ridicule and richly deserved criticism (and plenty of abuse) on social media and in stadiums (see: Atletico sub, England boos).
Pogba has been shit for years, a sicknote for over half of the time, criticises the club at every opportunity and has been angling for a move away for the last 4 summer transfer windows.
Hope that helped make some sense of it all.
The bolded part aren't true at all though, so no...doesn't help make sense.
I do hope Pogba leaves, because I think he's a scapegoat for far too much at this club. It's a mess with or without him in it, and he deserves better for his last big contract, and United fans deserve better than to see a guy who's not working out to be paid ridiculous sums for another 5 years. I think it's rightfully outrageous that United would offer him 500K/week with what he's given, and I hope that's not true because it would be just another sign of how far-gone United's decision-makers have been.
Whatever you folks want to believe, Pogba is not a disruptor. He has an agent that's a pain in the ass for any club to deal with, which is also what makes him very successful with certain players, and a brother that speaks with absolutely zero input from Paul. He's been constantly misquoted when he gave his interviews in French to have as much of a click-bait article as possible, I remember one particularly egregious instance where they completely changed his quote and cut out half of it to make it seemed he was intent on leaving United when his actual quote was the complete opposite.
I have no issues with criticizing Pogba for his performances, because they are night and day compared to what he gives for France for a multitude of reasons that go beyond his individual abilities, but I have a problem when people make up narratives to tarnish his character and make him out to be some kind of bad influence, unprofessional, or a diva. He is none of those things.
