What a dummy!! Did everything but score tonight think once he gets a bit of composure in front of goal we will have a 40 Goal a season player.!

His eye for goal seemed a bit off today to say the least but his movement, passing and allround play was superb

Apart from finishing he had a top game. But ofcourse let us bash him as he plays for United.

I thought he did well, his hold up play was generally good but his missed 2 sitters. Could have cost them.

Okay but I've a season ticket and I don't take my TV with me

Well then return the season ticket if he starts doing at Old Trafford. I'm sure we will miss your support bitterly.

His layoffs were great too and some of the passes he fizzes across the pitch are excellent. His all round game is becoming superb.

Superb  The overestimation of Lukaku is getting ridiculous. A couple of goals against Panama and people are bringing back the Kane-comparisations, a dummy after hearing Chadli screaming behind him and he’s suddenly Messi. Nothing said about a couple of missed point blank-headers of course

I really rate him these days, he’s becoming an elite player. Can’t believe how much he’s improved in the last twelve months.

That’s perhaps the best goal of the WC so far. He doesn’t touch the ball but his dummy is sensational and makes the goal.

Keep crying.

What overestimation? He's a great striker.

Bit of an off day with his finishing but all strikers have them.

Except nobody called him messi? There are very few strikers in the world football right now who would make a team better if replaced with Lukaku.. He is that good.

His finishing was off but I thought his overall play was good and his part for the final goal was great. First the movement to create space for Meunier and the unselfish dummy to cap it off.

You compared him to Carlton Cole not so long ago. It winds you up this.

If you can't appreciate what Lukaku does for that goal there's no hope for you. The dummy was only a part of it, his run to pull the defender away makes the space for De Bruyne to pass into and then he turns that same defender inside out in the box trying to get back at him before having the awareness to leave it for an unmarked Chadli.

It's top, top class centre forward play.

You may be a fan of this kind of 'leadership', I think it's demonstrated through leadership on the pitch. Performance levels inspire players. If you think Gerrard gathering players round in a huddle in front of the cameras was inspiring, then we can agree to disagree, it should be done in the dressing room. Doing it on the pitch smacks of 'look at me' and I don't see any difference with Lukaku doing it. Do it behind closed doors. Inspire on the pitch by putting the ball in the net.

As for giving my season ticket up, that's an unnecessary comment really, because I think team talks shouldn't be done for show in front of cameras, should be done in the dressing room, I should give up my season ticket ?

Really ? Do you go ?

At times it felt like he was a one man offense in today s game. Hazard, KdB, Mertens, most of them were lacking creativity. Odd really how Belgium didn't try to find him in the air much before Fellaini s introduction.

Oh dear, what an embarrassing post.

His movement and all-round play has come on massively. He's certainly proving his critics (of which I was one) wrong in that regard.

Wow I didn't even notice the run till now. Brilliant stuff by Rom.

Missed a sitter or two

Easy for movement to look good when most of the Japan team are in the other half
