I hope that Jar Jar Binks theory ends up being true
As in it will be like that in the movie? No way. The whole point of the theory is that that Jar-Jar was supposed to be a Sith but then George changed his mind.

Sorry but that would make Jar Jar instantly one of the best movie characters ever in my opinion. Would love it to happen but probably not gonna happen.

Oh. I was hoping he was going to be the actual bad guy in the new trilogy.

Darth Jar Jar

A few issues aside, it felt like a 'proper' Star Wars film - would have thought most fans will be at least satisfied and it's great fun.

Just back.

At the very least, people are going to enjoy it. It's certainly not shit anyways. Far better than any of the prequels. Well apart from Anakin going ape shit and turning into Vader

Booked a ticket for 1:30pm today, excited!

Anyone else going/went alone?
I did, working away in Worcester this week, so went in my own...

I don't mind going on my own, it's not like you talk through the film anyway, unless you're a giant cnut...

The only real criticism of it I've heard so far is that it's a bit too similar in vibe/structure to A New Hope. Which certainly isn't the worst criticism it could get given they probably did that very, very deliberately.

Yeah I'd go along with that, but it takes nothing away from the movie...they mashed the old/new generations pretty well, and John Boyega is really good I thought, and Daisy Ridley wasn't wooden as I thought she would be...didn't get her tits out though...

I was confused about Boyega's accent. Why make a British actor do an American accent in a world where there is no Britain or USA?

I went alone, 5 screens completely sold out and I was far from the only one alone. The cinema is better when you go alone, no one trying to distract you.

I really enjoyed it. Not without it's problems but the good far outweighs the bad, like the original trilogy.

I pretty much loved it. It has it's problems... some bigger then others. But it's good enough to get away with pretty much all of them.

I never would have been able to manage the midnight showings after working all day.

I would have fell asleep half way through

7 hours and ill be sat in the cinema waiting for it to start. I don't know whether to cry or spunk my pants.

Has anyone watched it in IMAX 3d? Have not seen a film in 3d in years and never watched one in IMAX so I am not sure what to expect.

IMAX is pretty much the same as the normal (Real) 3D, except the screen is bigger and the 3D bits "pop out" of it a bit more. It's not as subtle. It's also more expensive. There are probably more technical differences but that's what I've noticed, personally.

I personally love IMAX 3D, it's not a gimmick like the standard 3D in cinemas but more a proper feature of the film and its integrated so well for these big Hollywood movies. Brilliant experience everytime I've seen a film in in and I'm expecting Star Wars to be the perfect film for it as well.

Was listening to Capital on the way to work and they had a caller come on to chat about the movie. The presenters constantly tell him not to leak out spoilers. The first thing he does is ruin the story plot. Still fuming about it now! grrr.

I got my threads muddled up. I was meant to come in here and ended up going in to the spoiler one. Never clicked out of a page so quickly.

It was almost like being caught watching porn.

Huge. The best seats get given first. Or taken if you have a choice.

I saw Age of Ultron and there were three other people in the cinema. One directly in front of me, two directly behind me.

True. But if that's me who's coming into the film and it's obvious there's not many folk going to be in there as it gets nearer the start, I'd have moved to give others a bit of space. It's like someone sitting next to you on a bus when every other seat is available. Just weird. Maybe it's just me haha
