Happy to see him scored and played well. Not sure why some feel it is needed for them to come and be negative about it. Same people nevertheless. Typical.
Because it is no longer about analysis and having a discussion for them. It is about getting petty digs in and yelling "finished!" in as many sentences and as many posts as possible, saying 'fat', 'granny' and 'shite for years' so everyone can pat them on the back and tell them how great they are and validate the nonsense. Why else would somebody go that far out of their way to show they don't have a grip in the reality of the situation? It would make no sense otherwise.
On the performance, I thought he was rusty as hell. He probably should have had two goals and I thought that was a blatant pen on him as well. Excellent strikers instincts though, quickest to react after the save and he got the reward. If he's deputizing for Rashford down the stretch of this season, getting confidence boosting goals and minutes under the belt will be very very important for the tail end of our season. If he can chime in with this kind of average contributions per minute that he's had this season it will be huge.
One thing that I think will really help Martial is the fact that Rooney can actually stretch and push the inside player back, when he drops he rarely stays sitting deep. He always puts more pressure back onto the line which will help free up the space from Tony Martial. Rashford should get the nod against City though in the same formation. Straight swap, no doubt about it.
