Barry Richards and King Viv are truly batting greats, but AB will hold his own among any

Yeah, he'll probably go down as the best ODI of all time. My gripe is the fact the game has become tailored to batsmen. We've had 6 194+ scores in the last decade, who's to say 300 want be achieved by the likes of AVB? But yeah great player regardless of era.

There's just something special about AB. It just seems like he has taken his game to another level. Granted, Windies aren't the best, but it's still very impressive.

You only have to see the number of batsman who have crossed 150+ in this WC, the quality of bowling, bats, etc helps the batsman a lot. But no one in cricket can match AB's striking record. Think he will win SA the wc this time. Him or Mccullum.

It's like watching a freak show. Bat first score well over 300 and skittle the oppo for fewer than 250.

Hope the cnut Misbah is taking notes. You simply don't win the toss and bowl first in Aussie/NZ conditions.

Didn't have AB in my team. Had Faf as captain and de Kock. Had Sammy and Taylor too. Thankfully they didn't bowl in last overs

Very true. Loaded in favour of batsmen, and it highlights how good Viv was

This will be interesting. WI can't have the same approach they had against Zimbabwe or else they would be needing 300 in the last 25 overs.

There is no contest between the bat and ball. It's cricket for morons, managed and run by morons.

The toss has become too important. As you said, win the toss, bat first, don't do anything moronic, and win the match. Horrible tournament so far.

AB De Villiers

Fastest ODI Fifty - 16 balls
Fastest ODI Century - 31 balls
Fastest ODI 150 - 64 balls

Fastest double century is missing off his list. If he batted a bit higher up, he'd have that in the bag as well.

You'd expect an associate nation to put up more of a fight than this.
