We bought crap which other teams wanting crap were hunting. Crap always has demand in football. Coutinho was crap and so was Lucas. They metamorphosed into shining gems. That is precisely people come to see this crap. The whole concept of discovering gems from craps and then fighting over the quality of the discovered gems, is the past time for many people around the world. hey throw money at people, get some crap back, oh did we find a player. Good money, bad crap. sometimes get back bad crap and turn gems, everyone on the roof, chance for more money to buy crap.Sometimes the gems from crap brought with good money can start to smell and turn back into crap.

So which category of crap in there is Lovren? Would help him if we throw the right set of crap at him, just asking like you know.
I've yet to figure out if he's saying that Liverpool turns it's players from shit into great quality or if he's resigned to accepting Lovren is awful.

''almost Senor Fix Results''. Yes, I see it all now.

Mings has reported a return to full fitness after that vicious Rooney assault, btw.

I got lost near the end to be honest. It started off with a reasonably coherent point that was essentially "teams love trying to unearth the next star player after buying him on the cheap" but this bit...

Good money, bad crap. sometimes get back bad crap and turn gems, everyone on the roof, chance for more money to buy crap.
...lost me. I think he was saying that Lovren was crap that turned into a gem at Southampton, but is now turning back to crap at Liverpool, despite Liverpool spending good money on him, and that Southampton were rejoicing at getting more money to buy crap.

His question at the end seemed to suggest that he's not sure if Lovren will remain crap or return to being a gem.

All in all, he's a bit mental.

They are top of the 2015 league table, Rob. Who needs the August-May league when you can be top of the January to March league? If there weren't a massive conspiracy the league would run in the calendar year, and then everyone would see that Liverpool were the best. If there weren't a conspiracy, shots that hit the post/bar would count as goals, or the goals would be bigger, and then everyone would see that Liverpool were the best. If there weren't a conspiracy, finishing 8th would be rightfully rewarded with a CL spot, and then Liverpool would win the CL with ease. Everyone knows the only reason Liverpool didn't win the CL, and only managed to win one group game, at home, with a late penalty, against some dodgy Bulgarian side, is because Brendan Rodgers, being the tactical master he is, had to concentrate on the league so that they could get into the top 4 to again qualify for a CL that they weren't going to win because they'd have to focus on finishing top 4 to qualify for the CL. Again.

And it's clearly a massive conspiracy that Skrtel got banned for an obvious stamp on De Gea when Rooney didn't even get a ban for being pushed, by Skrtel, into Mignolet. Also, how do you explain that Herrera, who's Spanish, got stamped on by Gerrard, who isn't Spanish, and then De Gea, who's also Spanish, got 'stamped' on by Skrtel, who isn't Spanish, and Mata, who's also Spanish, scored both goals that made Liverpool, who aren't Spanish, lose, are all Spanish? And that Sterling, who isn't Spanish, might move to Real Madrid, who are Spanish? And that Sanchez, who moved from Barca, who are Spanish, chose not to go to Liverpool, who aren't Spanish, but chose to go to Arsenal, who are managed by a Frenchman, which is exactly what Michel Platini, head of UEFA is? And then how do you explain that Liverpool, greatest side in European history, get knocked out of the UEFA Champions League in the group stage? And how do you explain that Sir Alex Ferguson, the perpetrator of this conspiracy, is an anagram of "Señor Fix Resulag" which is almost "Señor Fix Results" which is clearly what he is called in, you guessed it, Spain. His name literally tells us that he fixes results, and no one does anything about it.
 well done, good sir.

Where does Rafael Benitez fit in?
Well, Rafael Benitez is Spanish, so is it any coincidence that Liverpool's greatest fightback against the Señor Fix Resulag regime of corruption came under his tenure? I think not. Likewise, Brendan Rodgers "spent a large amount of time travelling around Spain studying different coaching methods" - direct quote from Wikipedia - and where did Liverpool finish last year? That's right, they once again didn't win the league. Which is the best they've done since Rafael Benitez. Has Kenny Dalglish ever been to Spain? No. He'd burn up in the sun. Has Roy Hodgson ever been to Spain. No. His name is Roy Hodgson, which rhymes with Roy Dodge Sun, and what do they have lots of in Spain? Sun. It's clear that Brendan Rodgers has been to Spain because he has a marvelous, totally real tan, and because he's been to Spain, he can fight back against the obvious conspiracy.

Brilliant post by Alex99. Also got me thinking: Brendan Rodgers is an anagram of Grand Red Boners, which has to mean something, really. Some conspiracy centred around Mighty Red and, well, boners.

''there is a school of thought that Sterling is good enough to play for Barcelona. Suarez is only just good enough to get in that side.

I think some times we get a bit carried away with our players, and its all good fun, but objectively I think we are a way off player for player.

All of our players carry a disability of sorts, its why they play for us. I would love it not to be the case but its true. we don't possess many if any Top Notch players.'

Anfield is the only stadium with a wheelchair ramp into the changing room and a special sit down shower. What he's not realised is all of that was installed when they signed Sturridge.

I dont think Lucas and Coutinho count as gems that were unearthed by them! Both were already very highly rated youngsters when Loverpool bought them.. Vidic and Evra come into that category not lucas & coutinho!

It's like saying we unearthed gems in Rooney, Jones and Smalling..

Well Evra was a CL finalist with Monaco and Vidic was wanted by other clubs including Liverpool.

I've had a look at the shape of both teams, the tactical movements and marking assignments, the principles of play behind the contrasting philosophies and the strengths of both attacks and defences. I also drew up complex tactical diagrams, gridded out the main areas of concern, and circled the main 1v1's that will be vital to the game. Following that, I established a statistical simulation of 1000 games based on key metrics concerning attack and defence, the condition of the field, the vociferousness of the supporters, and the relative statistical strengths of both teams possible formations. The conclusion was clear.

Yes, mine as well, :).

And it's got me thinking they hate the mascot cos his name rearranges to DIRGE MYTH. On this basis, it can't be too long before they turn against RENDERS DRAB SONG.

1) Fans, on the Kop, leaving around the 60 minute mark because they were, apologies in advance, "Sick of the shite on the pitch". Now why anybody would be leaving the ground early is a mystery to me. But the fact fans can waltz out of the ground with 30 minutes of what may be the most important game of the season is abhorrent. The club markets it's support as The Twelfth Man - yet this happens? Would keeping the doors closed for the full ninety, or at LEAST 80 minutes, be possible? The argument may be "false imprisonment" but try telling that to the away fans we keep in their seats until the game is over?

Away fans are kept in after games in line with ACPO Policy on Policing Football games and the legal power is akin to the kettling of protesters during demonstrations. Section 3 Criminal Law Act 1967 and common law to Prevent a Breach of the Peace allows the Police to detain people in order to prevent crime and disorder where necessary, proportionate and reasonable to do so.

Seeking to use such a power so that their deluded marketing policy is aligned to their shameful reality is just ridiculous.

I'm just stunned (for what should be an utterly obvious reason) that a Liverpool fan would suggest something like that.

Discovering the 'Senor Fix' anagram could be what tipped Benitez over the edge.

''Rafa was doodling on a Melwood notepad late one night when the full extent of ''La Gran Conspiracion'' became apparent to him....
