1 game, let's brand Sir Alex as a defensive manager as he tried to park the bus against City in that "Agggueeerrrroooo" season.
Stamford Bridge against us last season.

Mourinho is a defensive coach, but he's also a fecking brilliant manager. I hope he signs.

Those calling him defensive are not doing so without merit. This is someone who parked the bus against a 10 man PSG, and lost.
He goes defensive in a lot of big matches, but for 95% of matches, he is an attacking manager.

Or at least this was the case until his last spell for Chelsea, when he decided to go defensive always.

I'm sure United will say to him, 'Jose you have seen the reaction of the fans this season when the football wasn't attacking, do so at ur peril'

I'm sure I can find other examples of Sir Alex parking the bus every now and again.

Hopefully he does, the club may have taken 3 years to get it right, but better late than never.

He can attack if he needs to, his Madrid league winning side and Chelsea for most of last season were lethal.

Sounds like it will be the summer. Don't think they want to remove LVG midseason
Ahh.

Still irritates me why we didn't approach him around Christmas so he could have had a transfer window to save the season. Now he's probably going to inherit a team outside of the CL next season.

Could have saved the season and had a 6 month head start on Guardiola. Really should have been done after the Norwich game. Fail to win tomorrow and the league starts to become a write off and its only February!

We regularly parked the bus vs top sides. Go rewatch the 2 legs vs Barca in 08. If Mourinho gets the United job he deserves the same support we've gave to LVG and Moyes.

His ideas are getting really old and lately he's been stirring up more shit at his clubs than making something worth lasting.

Just look at what the idiot is doing - players at both Madrid and Chelsea wants him out so bad they're even ready to sink the whole club just to make sure it happens, and then the medical staff is just a weird extra. How the feck do you even do that??? This man is a pure cancer and I'm not happy at all hearing we're about to feed his ego. If he comes here I want his mouth shut 99% of the times and just let the football do the talking. I'm not impressed at all.

I don't understand the ones wanting the prick. They want LVG out because of boring football and want another boring fecking arrogant prick take his place
In the end, every managers play boring football.. Its just opinions what people think.. Simeone plays the most boring football I have ever seen.. Mourinho did play a good football with Inter and Real Madrid(ok maybe not good football against strong teams) I have never been a fan of possession football so I haven't been much of a fan of Guardiola style of football, and I'm Barcelona fan after all . In my opinion Guardiola wants to play similiar to LVG but LVG doesn't have as good attacking players as Guardiola has had in both Barcelona and Bayern.. Guardiola would probably not play much better with our squad right now.

So I'm surprised that some doesn't want Mourinho beacuse of the Eva incident... After all Guardiola did a similiar thing if I remember last season or season before when the club doctor was fired.

Agree, if he wants one that isn't second hand, let's get a manager from the conference....at least he might be brand new!!!

People could dig out all the videos and incidents from fergie's career but he was never ever as cnutish as mourinho, sorry i'm not having that.

So for me it's simple, i believe mourinho is wise enough to know that he needs to offer a good brand of football here, that he needs to give young players a chance, but that won't change the fact that he's one of the worst personalities in football ever, and that's at least a valid reason not to want him here.

Surely most managers are second/third/fourth hand? Are you saying we should build/breed a new manager?

How about cloning?

We should be having a manager like Pep Guardiola. We should have gone ALL IN when he was available. Now we're looking in the outlet as usual. Always the cheap alternative.

If Van Gaal was winning more and we were challenging for the league the fans would have laid off whatever the style.

Who says we didn't go all in? Bottom line is, he's probably been lined up to take over City for a long time now. He's got his Barca pals at City. We didn't really stand a chance.

Ah the feck.
I think he's a loon, but he will bring good things back to Old Trafford.

We need a Big Bollox to go up against pep next year and he's the biggest of the Bollox around.

The club must reign him in though. He can't be swaggering around sacking medical personnel because they look at him funny.

He has to understand he's at a proper club now, and the club need to clip his wings.

I can't imagine Sir Bob's happy though.

Probably not (though Aberdeen players who were lambasted for not playing well despite WINNING the Scottish Cup may argue with that). But it's a different era and people are also different. Mourinho is probably a more modern version of a young Fergie with his attitude.

Aye, they probably began work on luring Pep to their club back in 2012. Would have been extremely difficult to persuade him to come here in those circumstances.

As opposed to Moyes or LvG. Whoever chose our previous managers should politely bow out of appointing the next one.

Funny that's the one thing Pep also did at Bayern, but somehow his fan***s think he can do no wrong.

Different situation.

Pep criticised the doctors practices and came out basically saying that they're losing games because he's not getting players back.

Jose went bonkers because Eva ran on the pitch to give medical support because Hazzard (or Oscar) hit the deck... and was even called on by the ref, twice!

Not happy to leave it at that, then he suspends her and relegates her to the training compound to think about what's she's done like a naughty school girl, ahem! :nervous:

Anyway, that, to me, was a man not completely in touch with his faculties. Pep's actions, where understandable, if not justifiable.

LvG asserted similar sentiments when he first came.

Incidentally, the Bayern doctor had been with the club for decades and not a recent appointment like Chelsea.

Eva running on also left Chelsea defending a corner with 9 men.
