After Ronaldo (in your list), I'd have him before any of the players you mentioned. Easy. Maybe not Neuer if one had a bad keeper.
I think there's a lot of bias against him because he plays for Madrid. Just imagine the reviews he would get here if he was a Premiership player, or even better, linked to us.

Anyway, that beside the point in this thread so it's the last I will discuss of it.
I see. I can see the reasoning behind comparing Bale to Pogba in regards to the fee. At the time it was wildly discussed and I don't think Bale has lived to it as well which makes it understandable people to be obsessed with it.

Much like Bale if we get Pogba he'll be under the microscope every game and having in mind he's still a bit inconsistent there will be lot of unsatisfied lads.

The most reliable source of information in this thread is the Juve fan who posted to inform everyone that they're believing in a load of bollocks.

He isn't going anywhere and if he was it probably wouldn't be to United.

What did the Juve fan say? None of us know what will happen, it's just opinions and debate at this moment in time.

So, we should disregard all the league titles won by United in 90s as it was shit league compared to Serie A, La Liga?

Thanks for clearing this up.
most in here recognise that Juve are a big club, debatable if they are bigger than us Interms of success. but certainly a big club. Some posters are fed up with Raiola and his interview so they are lashing out, pay them no mind

Mermania Rulez!!!...Merms come back!!!
I think its unfair and downright wrong of us to call Juventus anything other than the big club that it is.

Most of us in the forum would obviously be biased towards United, but the passion that you have for our club need not be displayed by belittling other clubs.

As far as what Raiola has said, I have a couple of points of concern

  1. In case ITK journalists, such as Keys and DiMarzio, had sure information of contact between United and Pogba. Especially of Pogba's acceptance of the terms in offer. It makes no sense for Raiola to start posturing to the stands at this moment. The parties in question (United, Juventus & Pogba) have all but revealed their cards by way of these journalists. What, if any, purpose would this latest statement serve?
  2. In case, Pogba doesn't really fancy a change of scenery and does feel Juventus would be better for his career at this moment in time. Should we begrudge a player for his opinion, irrespective of the salary he would command at that club ?

He said there's always speculation about Pogba joining one club or another and it never actually happens...and that Pogba himself had seemed to indicate he wasn't planning to go anywhere.

That to me is a whole lot more reliable than the "sources" of someone like Balague, who is nearly always unreliable and also can't possibly know anyone who would have a clue about Paul Pogba.

I suspect people are building themselves up for a big disappointment

Yes, "someone off a Juve forum" is definitely the most reliable person here :houllier::houllier::houllier:

So this Juve fan knows more than proven journos like Di Marzio?

Not having that but each to their own.

Tell me again why madrid are no longer interested? Maybe they don't think he's worth the supposed fee ?
Their needs is different to our need. The value of a player is different depending on your needs and who is in your squad. I hope that helps.

Do you know that Di Mario is reliable when it comees to Paul Pogba...did you even know what a Di Marzio was before this thread cropped into existence?

Remember when reliable sources said we were signing Ramos? Or Fabregas...or Thiago...Schneider...etc.

You know that experiment where they offer a mouse a bit of cheese but the mouse gets an electric shock if it tries to grab it? This thread is like that except there's thouands of mice and they all wont stop trying to grab the cheese.

Can't see much wrong with what anyone said in that video...
Except for a supposed English football journalist thinking that Chelsea are in the Champions League!

Ballague was right though, we have the money to do this. We can sign a player at this level every summer if we want. We will probably recoup enough in player sales to cover the other three players we signed. If the situation was right we could even sign two players at this level in one window. That would mean cutting back in the next window but it is possible.

The host was totally fit too.

We're not signing Paul Pogba. At some point a majority of people in this thread are going to have to deal with that.
I have said this before but this REALLY is the last time i get excited about a transfer again. Not until the player is wearing our shirt in the official Utd press release. I'm just sick to death of these kind of transfers that never end up happening.
Utd really is the biggest muppet killer there is.

Yes I have followed Di Marzio for over a year. He is the best journo out there in my opinion as are his co-workers David Amoyal etc.

You are entitled to your opinion but I will take the news from them over a random Juve supporter on an internet forum who of course is going to attempt to kid himself that the team he supports won't sell their prize asset.

Ah, so we have our own ITK now. Plus the mandatory whinging about Ballague or Madrid every few minutes. All we need now are some pics of him with Morgan or Martial and some GIFs and we'll have this thread rolling properly.

This will be Juventus' first and only chance to receive as much money for Pogba. Even if he doesn't move this summer, it's only a matter of time before he does and if he or the club reject our offer, Juventus will be forced to sell him for less money in the next windows.

Maybe he wants to go to Spain, which is fine, but neither Barcelona nor Real Madrid would offer so much money next summer even if he has the season of his fecking life.

That's the reality that Juventus have to keep in mind.
This is true imo, Juve simply don't have the platform to monetize his brand value in a way that only Madrid, Barcelona and us can do so turning down £100m for him doesn't make any sense. This is also before considering Raiola inevitably playing contract games that will see them selling him off at a cut price deal in a couple of windows, if they turn United down Pogba won't renew without a discounted release clause or will simply feck them over by running down his contract. This is the only time they stand to make a huge profit on him.

Yes. According to some Juve fan. Way more reliable than Di Marzio, Simon Stone et al..

Do you realise how stupid that sounds?

I don't think it's done deal, but to compare Pogba to every other transfer that didn't come off, thus writing off evey hack as nonreputable is lazy argument.

He's not worth the £85m. I think everyone agrees with that.
