Didn't that journo who everyone in here decided they personally knew was reliable say this would be done in 48 hours, about a week ago?

There's absolutely nothing going on to indicate anything, other than Pogba's agent telling you all to stop believing all the crap that people keep saying.

That's the only even semi reliable source of information there's been at any point, and literally all they've said is that everyone is talking bollocks.

But even when he denies, the people here still say it's a sign that he's panicked and that the deal is done, so what's the point of reading his silence as a sign? He denies, it's a sign, he's silent, it's a sign.
Actually if Marotta was a vocal as he was during the vidal saga, we could now interpret that as a sign we weren't really in for Pogba. As far as this window goes, after one initial denial, Marotta has gone silent. That is marked difference from Vidal.

Furthermore, if Marotta came out and denied a deal now, then I seriously doubt anyone would take that as a good sign. It would mean we gave up.

I bought Pogba in Fifa 16. Was playing it last night and he broke his foot in training. Out for 3 months. Not a good sign lads :(

A World Record transfer fee is not worth bothering with?
I'd make that my main headline.
If Di Marzio is right, the agreement is done. NOT the signings. So what is there to report? They have all reported the fee, what else is there to write until someone tells them they all signed off?

The player has not signed. The player has not been presented as a MUFC player. How can you say this deal is done?
THE AGREEMENT is done. The agreement and the final signed deal are different stages.

Don't forget, United also issued denials via press briefings with regards Vidal. They actually always do it if there's a strong link to a player when there's nothing in it.

The silence from both United and Juve despite the huge media presense surrounding the story tells you all you need to know.

He's the last person to trust but the last thing he said was:-

From ssn 30th july, Pogba's agent Mino Raiola told Italian paper La Stampa earlier this week that "the deal could be closed within the next week".

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!

The man who said "everyone thinks (Ibra) has to go to MUFC, that's not true" TWO DAYS before Ibra unveiled his transfer after "lengthy talks" is "semi-reliable"? COME ON!

No he isn't. He's the only one who's said anything who you have a clue whether he has any idea what's going on. So he's automatically more reliable than any journalist even if he is a lying git.

I'm not sure him apparently telling a newspaper something according to another newspaper/journo is worth much either. If SSN are reliable then Pogba never left United in the first place because I remember them reporting he'd agreed a new deal to stay here.

Stop listening to the idiots. If his agent is talking about it then that means something is happening, but we have no idea what so we may as well just chill and wait and see.

He's the agent of the player. Everyone else mouthing off isn't.

Who is less unreliable, someone who saw an incident with their own eyes and might lie about it, or someone who definitely didn't see it and also might lie about it?

Logically you either listen to him or you listen to no one.

Madrid rumours? There has not been a single journalist, paper or even ITK that has reported that Madrid are in for Pogba for the last week. Are you really getting scared because some people on here joke that he's joining Madrid because they're in NYC at the same time? Please get a grip.
Scared??? lol truth is you don't know , I don't know and most jurnos don't know what is happening. All I was implying was the recent tweets on here about Madrid again, I really couldn't care if pogba joined us or not as we are utd and will get on with the job either way, so scared definitely not!

His agent is very transparent. You can see that from the two transfer dealings we've had with him this summer. One whereby he was very honest on behalf of his client and the other where he lied through his teeth to increase the hype. He is just doing what his clients/other parties want. He's only reliable if you see what he does.

He also said pogba deal could be closed this week I think? Or have I imagined that one?

Not really. I might have 10 posts in this thread max.
But a quick look in your recent history on here did see you admit you have been in this state of mind before when you admitted to f5ing the feck out of your keyboard in the berbatov thread...

Let's not forget who we are/were, we've all been kids.

To dedicate 1000 pages to a player who does not even belong to the club is a significant feat.

Take pride in your work lads.

Won't be the only one in the squad, Fellaini and Januzaj are Muslims too I think
I think Pogba is a lot more extreme in his religious beliefs though. He's known to sit in the dressing room reading the Qu'ran out loud before matches.

That's creepy.

Edit: And before the justice brigade comes in (you never know when you've offended people in this day and age): he may have been humming buddha lyrics for all I care, it's still equally creepy.

Not so sure. What if an update comes in saying he's going to have his medical or a pic shows him arriving in Manchester etc.

One big update (di marzio's 48 hours) produced 70 pages in one day in this thread.

I am chilled. If it happens then it will probably happen before Friday otherwise he will need to back to training with Juventus on Monday.

He's a lying git when he wants to be and completely open when it suits him, that is the only reliable thing.

So, if it's negative listen to him, if it positive don't. Don't belive what you read. Everyone are idiots. OK got it.

As much as I believe most journos spout crap, Di Marzio has shown himself to be very reliable in terms United dealings this summmer while Raiola is a known troll and bullshiter, so claiming to trust his agent purely because of that is nonsense.

His agent also does not necessarily have it in his and his client's best interest to disclose the actual state of affairs as there might be other considerations. For example, Pogba might get less hassle if some ultras are not sure he's leaving. It might sound simple but so is the assumption his agent will only ever say the truth publically.

Makes sense. So an announcement to be expected in the coming days. Would be awlward to go to training at Juve if there is an substance to the "deal agreed or thereabouts" rumors.

LoL What's the matter with Park ji sung? He was one of the most important player from 2005-2011. It's unfair to put him in the same bracket with young and cleverley.
He scored on important matches(Arsenal, Liverpool,Milan,Chelsea..etc) and people should remember how he performed on the semi final against Barca and Chelsea(including the one on the league).
