Derby's going to be a little less special thanks to his silliness.

Knew it. They'd have let it go if it was in the middle of the season

What ever arguments people may have about ref saw it or not, other players being worse and so on. Isolated this should be a 3 match ban. I would like fairness to the rules letting equal tackles get similar bans in the future but there will always be difference in how people get penalized. But what ever situation who has been before or that will come in the future, THIS situation deserves a 3 match ban. No doubt.

Fellaini has had some bad elbow tackles before and I really dont like it. If we are gonna get everyone who does this you have to remove that stupid rule about FA not being able to go in and give bans if ref have mentioned it in hes report card. I cant think of a logic explanation for that rule.

You don't need to worry about me, football doesn't consume more than 1% of my day. You maybe playing with Saf's figures, I have much more interesting things to do with my life. Enough of wasting time on endless bickering.
Somehow I don't think a Barcelona fan would have cared even 00,01% about City missing a key player if El'puritano, the inventor of football, Pep himself, wasn't in charge. In fact I think you wouldn't give two shits about City at all. And somehow I also think that the old arch enemy of Pep and manager of Real Madrid managing United might have something to do with it.

It is a bit like us still laughing about Rafa, he managed one of our rivals and went head to head against our **** figure, SAF, so I totally understand. Just don't try to dress it up as much as you do.

But you still have time to ''support'' Barcelona while wumming on a Manchester United forum, in a thread about Manchester United's local rival's best player being suspended, a Barcelona fan is whining about something, more than a tax haven, action dolls, something something delusion.

Yes, big mistake. Didn't know I have to post everything to suit your taste. if I would know how to delete my comment, I would do so and carry on with my peaceful life. Happy? or do I need to say anything more??

Edit: Just saw there is a 'delete' option.

Now, please carry on with your life as usual.

Some shite posts in this thread.

He elbowed someone so should be banned.
Agreed. I don't know why what his prior offences are or what other players have done in the past is relevant either.

He purposefully elbowed another player in the face. Nothing else seems to matter from my point of view.

Looks like some of you people have severe inferiority complex against Aguero, as if this guy has your number. I would never want to play Real without Bale or Ronaldo. It's a win-win case for them TBF - they're lose they can say their best player was not playing but if they win/draw, media will eat Mou.
What an odd thing to say. Only people who give a shite about "what they'll say" are 12 year-olds in the playground.

I'll take their best player not playing.
Anybody with a half a brain would, actually astounded why someone would rather their rivals best player was available for a derby rather than not.

I'm not living in the past. I'm not saying we'd whoop them, in fact I stated we might not. But it's City at Old Trafford, and we should have some goddamn pride in ourselves and the confidence that we can take them with or without Aguero.

Look, I won't be sad if he gets banned. Of course that there's a part of me that will be relieved at that. But if he does play, and we do beat them, it'll be sweeter.
I take points over pride any day of the week as long as Aguero deserves to be banned. I would never ask for a player to be hurt or to be banned without reason just to win, but in this case Im not willing to take the chance on us beating City with Aguero. I know we are capable, but games like this may be won or lost on small margins. And Aguero may as well be that margin. So a well deserved ban vs pride(as you call it) I chose justice any day of the week.

I hope the entire City squad eat a dodgy lasagna the evening before the game. We've got a league title to try and win, so I couldn't give a damn about moral victories.

Long international break for Agüero. Let's hope he pulls a Tevez(minus the comeback). Flee to Argentina and get fat, please!

I don't get the 'I want to beat their best team' attitude. He's done something deserving of a ban and it's his fault, no one else to blame for weakening his team for a big game. They could play their third string team for all I care, I just want three points.

It's brainless. What next?

"I don't want Aguero having a stinker. I want him to be BLOODY AWESOME, and we STILL win".

Not concerned who they are going to play or who is banned against us, as long as our players come back from Internationals fit I think we have a great chance to beat them.

Exactly, I find it strange too. I loved when Arsenal came to OT with a squad half depleted and we dicked em 8-2  Nobody ever says, yeh we gave them 8-2 but their best players were out :wenger:

Anyone who has any sort of rational thinking would.

The idea that come title time in May, someone will say,"well, it's not really a proper title, as Aguero didn't play in game 4" is next to zero

With a bit of luck, we'll not only beat them, but this could upset their apple cart, just when it was starting to look very rosy

I know you've deleted the post @CLARiiON and normally you're a good poster, but that post of yours made very little sense. And I'll tell you why.

Firstly, pretty much noone cares about moral victories in football in proper crunch scenarios. It's just these hypothetical discussions where such bravado comes out. You think Madrid fans care that their route to the CL final 2016 was easy? You think Portugal care that they finished 3rd in their group and won the final playing poor teams on route to the final? Nah, both teams were champions, and that's all they care about. And when it comes to a derby with close rivals, winning is usually all that matters.

Secondly, I get the feeling you're able to place such importance on winning the right "way" or in the right "situation", because Barcelona have had it all over the last decade and a half. You've won everything, you win every year, you're in your best period and you do in style. So it's probably easy for you to say "I want to beat them with Bale and Ronaldo". We've not been title challengers for 3 years now and have played miserable football in this period. Screw the finer details. I just want us to win. If City have a man sent off in the 2nd minute, I am definitely not going to be upset.

On the specific point regarding Aguero, I actually don't care much for the player. We've had better players than him (hence no real envy), and despite him having a good record against us, he's not a player that has left scars.

He's an idiot for doing it. It's clearly a ban and he deserves it.

The fact that the Derby is now missing one of the best players on their team is a shame but one that is entirely his fault.

Or how about you don't come in here, act all high and mighty and then proceed to feel offended if someone calls you out on it. Now please feck off and let the rest of us simple folk talk about football while you pursue all sorts of sophisticated activities in your superior life.

My mistake in making a simple comment. Maybe you guys really overrate him.
Surprised you don't rate him. He has been the best forward in the league the past two seasons, winning the Golden Boot two seasons ago and missing last season by one goal even though he was injured for part of the season.

I still think we would have handled him had he played on the 10th, but glad anyway that he is banned because it was deserved.

Personally, I'm only satisfied if the opponents not only have all their best players available but they all go on to have a brilliant game with the strikers scoring hattricks, goalkeeper saving 3 unstoppable shots etc while we still somehow beat them. Anything else is just meh.

Do any City fans, outside of the lunatic fringe pubescent echo chamber that is Bluemoon, actually think that the ban is unjustified?

There certainly is an issue that the media highlighting of incidents make higher profile clubs more susceptible to retrospective bans and that may be unfair, but it was a clear elbow and there is precedent (including for us twice last year).

Although, in saying that, I suspect some similar conspiracy theory factories would kick in with a (vocal) minority of our fanbase in similar circumstances. Some football fans are so dramatic and lack perspective.
