Wonder if Costa to China deal will actually happen in the summer and Chelsea will go back for Lukaku...
If Ibra is off this summer, well, we could do worse.

Why not Griezmann? Just curious.
He's a different kind of striker. He is a support striker not a target man that leads the line. But I would love Grizi here more, if we can only get one.

That's not how things work buddy. He's got 2 years left on his contract. He's out by next summer at the latest, Everton won't lose him for free.
A player with two years left on his contract shouldn't cost more than 60m. I definitely think we should make a bid for him. He's at the right age to make the step up to a bigger club.

Atletico still have a transfer ban, no?
Yes they do. Which means they can't buy, but they can sell. But they wouldn't be happy to sell Grizi till the ban is lifted. They won't be able to use the money to replace him

Every striker misses chances. Do you think Kane doesn't miss? Ibrahimovic doesn't miss? Drogba at his age was nowhere near as good.
Of course every striker misses chances, but nearly every top striker available for the price Lukaku commands would be as clinical yet they offer so much more in areas that matter such as link up play, work rate, intelligence.

Ah, I forgot it was only Real's ban that was reduced to one window.

Still, guess they could do what Barca did and just sign Costa but not be able to register him until January.
A player might be willing to sit out for 6 months for a club like Barca. But will they be willing to do the same for Athletico? I don't think so. Especially when you are at Costa's age with just a few years left at the top.

You can have a go at the rest of his game but it's laughable how you can say he's a wasteful finisher. His conversion rate is excellent.

His hold up play is also actually good and it wouldn't surprise me if he creates more chances than all the other top strikers in the league. His work rate under Koeman has improved drastically aswell.

he's pretty quick on top speed, strong as an ox, great hold up play, huge aerial threat, all that alone should make him decent enough striker for top team, maybe not a certain starter but defo a great striker to have at disposal, him and Griezmann could be an ideal pair to replace Zlatan, while Griezmann could play further in midfield or right wing forward, the question is what with Rashford, but he could take Lingards squad role or go on loan...

I actually really like him, I'd be more than happy to see him at United.

Ibra and Kane have created more chances per 90 minutes. Sanchez shits on all 3, although he plays some games on the left too. Still pretty decent considering the level of each club.

Chances Created in the Premier League this season (per 90 minutes):

Ibrahimovic - 1.76
Kane - 1.43
Lukaku - 1.42
Costa - 1.22
Giroud - 1.10
Aguero - 0.78

Lukaku is ahead of the others when it comes to dribble success and shot accuracy though.

He's good, but don't want him here. He flits in and out during a season. We absolutely don't need another inconsistent player. We need a clinical player with good professionalism. He can go back to Chelsea.

That's insulting to Andy Cole.
Nothing like Andy Cole. Cole was about pace, playing off the shoulder and instinct around the box. Lukaku is a goal scoring target man.

I'd love Lukaku here though. Strong, holds the ball up pretty well and proven goal scorer. Still only 23 as well so plenty of room for improvement.

I expect he'll go back to Chelsea but he'd be ideal as a Zlatan replacement. Not many strikers about that would match his PL output.

£90M is absolutely absurd. Steer well clear if that's what the going price is. For that kind of money, you think Griezmann/Aubameyang kind of level which Lukaku is certainly a tier below.

A very good striker, but still not on the same level as some PL strikers, despite his goalscoring record IMO. I hope Chelsea spunk a fortune on him as Costa's replacement.

He's worth around 70 million in this day and age to be honest. Higuain went for around that price and you would think Lukaku should go for similar considering you get plenty more years out of Lukaku. With Pogba going for silly money and him not being as good as Lukaku then you can see why we would want around 70 to 90 million.

He's a flat track bully, does nothing for month then bags 2 or 3 against a beaten team usually at the foot of the table.

No thanks. Stay away from both him and Kane, especially Lukaku.

Take away the 4 goal anomaly against Bournemouth and his stats this season are still fairly consistent. Only one real lean period where he went 4 games without a goal, and it's always natural for a striker to have a lean spell. Costa's longest drought this season is about the same, Zlatan's was 6.

Since we're using somewhat unfair stats, his flat track bullying has directly led to Everton earning 14 points, the exact same amount as Zlatan's direct contribution to United this year. Both getting the goals in 1-1 draws being their only contribution against the top 6.

Those flat tracks have also managed to get three 0-0's at Old Trafford, a bully who is needed sometimes.

Not sure what people have against flat track bullies. About 60% of the league would fall into the category of being there for the taking. These teams are tough to beat every single week.

They expect it will be lifted. It seems highly likely that it will. If it doesn't, i don't think griezmann will leave btw
Will it be lifted soon or do they have wait until the season is finished?

Lukaku > Chelsea
Costa > Atletico
Griezmann > Man Utd

Everyone's happy, except maybe Everton.
Almost, you forgot:

Sanchez > PSG
Lacazette > Atletico
Belotti > Chelsea
Dembele > Arsenal
Gray > Everton

I think:

Griezmann & Lukaku > United
Ibrahimovic > Galaxy

I think it was Ian Wright who said that Lukaku is currently at a very high level. However, to push on and become a great striker, he'll need to work really hard and commit to it. If he doesn't, he'll still be a good striker but with quite a few flaws. I think that's a fair assessment. Currently, we need the finished article and not another big signing who may not fulfil potential.

Everyone happy besides Arsenal & Everton.
The chance of signing two very expensive strikers in one summer must be hovering very near 0
