BBC never says anything unless it's over, though. Calm down and stop hearing nothing journalists.
Wouldnt call Jim White nothing, sure he was wrong about Benatia but the blokes usually reliable

Movement?
You think that's down to physical attritibutes of the players? There's plenty of legs in our teams, it's about strategy.

We also miss tons of chances, particularly last season - hence why someone who will punish the bottom 10 sides is always welcome.

If they aren't sure they won't risk their reputation. The sources that tell them are also stronger than any other sources as proven before.
They are sure of what they are saying which is that a fee is agreed. Not that we're going to sign him.

Negativity.... on Red Cafe? Well there's a shock

We're buying one of the Premier Leagues most proven out and out goalscorers who's homegrown and only 24!!!!

Fantastic news!

Can't rule out the tactic that we've leaked that we've agreed a fee with Everton just to scare Madrid and make them concede that they'll lower Morata's price.

Same here, we're not setup to play to his strengths. I'll be disappointed if it's just him as I don't think it will solve the issues we had last season
It may not solve our prehistoric tactics but he should solve our problems against the lesser teams. Still, I'd have to agree that if he's the only attacker we bring in it'll disappointing. Especially as Zlatan's gone now.

Sack Ed, make Pogba playing CEO. Had we let him take Griezmann to LA we'd have gotten him too.

I knew Lukaku was going to become a United player the moment I saw him taking selfies and dancing with Agent Pogba.

Pogba... not really a "proper signing". Not a "fergie signing".

I'd put Pogba in the "we've got money to spend and don't know what to spend it on" category, similar to Di Maria. That's not to say I don't want Pogba, or that he's comparable in failure to DM, but it was part of our "floundering" phase.

The Romulan is "Prem Proven" (Berbatov, Tevez, Cole, Sheringham, Shearer (not that we got him), etc). Strong, young and a proven goal scorer.

Think he is a classic fergie signing. We get Lukaku and it makes everyone else weaker.

I don't know why Sky and TalkSport are now relevant and ITK.

They've proven over and over, and fecking over again that both know absolutely nothing.

Jim White says bid was rejected and no Deal agreed. Wonder what he actually knows? Is he an actual journalist or just a presenter?
Probably just trying to feel relevant as he did not break the news

I hope they don't ruin a journalist's credibility by doing that. That would set them up for a lot of negative press.

26 & 25 goals for Everton in the past two season. He won't even have to move house either as he is already settled in the area.

I'm a bit concerned with his first touch and occasionally static demeanour at the front.

Lukaku is an excellent option for us given the current market for the Premiership tho. I'd prefer someone more rounded (like Morata) but that doesn't mean he's average. Far from it - he'd guarantee us goals and is more clinical than Morata for example.

With that being said we need a proper creative force on the wings so hopefully we'll sign a quality winger/wide forward to give him the service.
What makes Lukaku more clinical? I think Morata is the more efficient scorer tbh, the only questions for me over him would have been adjusting to the PL and playing a lot more minutes.

I absolutely LOVE the idea of telling Madrid to buzz off!

Morata is NOT better than Lukaku. There is little proof to argue otherwise. Both have their strengths and weaknesses and they are the same age. Time will tell who is better but one thing is sure in football, Jose Mourinho knows how to pick or manage a good striker.

If Lukaku still ends up at Chelsea or staying at Everton after BBC reported the deal as agreed, I really won't know what to believe anymore.

Unfortunately in the social media age, I'm no longer able to just check manutd.com to see when United announce something.

Can anyone give a proper feedback on his first touch? Some say it's horrible, some say it's good, some say it's mixed.... On the videos I watched, his first touch seemed fine but of course you never see the bad moments

We need a new striker and Lukaku would be as guaranteed a source of goals as we could get. Plus Madrid seemingly are being very difficult over Morata (which is their right) so this makes sense. The fee even seems reasonable given figures being thrown about these days.

The state of this place when Lukaku, Perisic and Fellaini are in the same line-up.

Good signing, he has his limitations but at the same time is a very good young striker who is a proven PL goal scorer.

Hopefully he relishes the challenge of playing for a top club and keeps on improving.

This forum is depressing at times. I can understand preferring one over the other but Lukaku is literally one of 2-3 top strikers in the PL (therefore proven).

When are people going to realise massive fees are needed when you are in our situation? We are paying United tax every time.

Doesn't help we boast how rich we are every other week.
