To be fair, if Klopp had taken over from SAF with the squad which had just won the PL, he would have done much better than Moyes. We still had prime RVN, Chicharito, prime Rooney, Nani, Rafael, Rio, Vidic, Evra, Carrick, Kagawa. You really would need to be a blundering idiot to do badly with that squad.
Not really. That squad wouldn't have been able to keep up with his "Heavy Metal" football. We'd still be 7th

I think your view of Klopp is distorted by his association with Liverpool. While I don't think he is at Mourinho's level, and perhaps not even Pochetino's level, he is a relatively good coach and can coordinate a good attack. He has not dealt with defense properly. But that doesn't mean he would have unraveled a premier winning side the way Moyes did. He is a much better coach than Moyes. Hell, many armchair coaches in this board would have done better than 7th with tge team we had.

Most of those guys were past it in 2014. Even Rooney who managed to con his way into the United team for another 3 years after.

There's no way Klopp would have had Rio, Vidic, Carrick etc running around like headless chickens. They hadn't got the legs.

The fact is, Mourinho should have been appointed SAF's successor. He should have never rejoined Chelsea. It was always destiny for him to manage us and I believe every other manager would have failed at the club until what was meant to happen, happened.

@Mr.Ridiculous__ was spot on. It's nothing to do with Klopp being associated with L'pool. Our players were aging and some just plain injury prone, needed to accomodation in term of style. L'pool full of players at physical prime years and they predictably picked up injury one after another. Klopp may not be Moyes bad, but potentially a bad left us in just as bad position long term. You know, some part of the fan base is happy with style of play, and caught up in romanticism giving manager more time. Klopp may make top 4, make to finals just to lose and our fans may even refuse the defensive Mourinho when he became available.

As I said in another post in this thread, I'm still skeptical about Klopp's ability in player recruiting. Dortmund has system to recruit the players. Many people mistook Dortmund's transfer model for British manager model. Klopp only became manager in British style at L'pool and many of his transfers ain't that impressive. He may not dither nor have feck no charm to attract player like Moyes, but he may not get the right signings and we may still end up at Wenger level, considering Klopp's flaw.

If Mourinho ended up at Liverpool and Klopp at United, we´d have the same threads only Mourinho would be crap and Klopp awesome....

The defensive situation is frustrating - absolutely. But the atmosphere around the club when Rodgers or Benitez left was toxic. It's nothing like that right now.
Aye, I think that's something seriously underrated at a club.
Giving a manager time is always a good thing if he has shown previous pedigree & the feeling around the club is good.

Klopp's football, whilst frustrating on many levels for Liverpool fans is also extremely entertaining at times and that will continue to win him plenty of leeway.

Nice of you to put in an extra laughing smiley at the end. Saved me the trouble.

There's a #KloppOut protest the day of the United match in Stanley Park apparently. I wonder if there's many who are actually in that camp or is it just a small minority who won't be happy unless Liverpool are winning every single game.

I would just add that for non-Liverpool fans its even more entertaining. So far, I am hugely enjoying it. Long may it continue!

You underestimate the squad that SAF left, which had just won a premier league title. But most of all, you underestimate Moyes ability to destroy a winning mentality and disarticulate a well-oiled team. Moyes is an incredibly bad manager, he got almost every decision wrong from the outset. With every other average/good manager, such as Klopp, he would have got some things right, some things wrong, and we would perhaps arrived at 7th place after about 2 to 3 seasons. But to do it in one season the way Moyes did took a special manager/idiot. Do not elevate Klopp's averageness to those levels.

Leicester, Moscow and Newcastle all away before our trip to them. Could all be tricky in their own right.
Of course. As you know, away games are naturally harder. Squeeze a round trip to Moscow and you got yourself a hard set of fixtures to navigate.

So how do Klopp supporters feel about Mourinho getting sent off today again? Do you notice the different treatment of both of them? Do you notice that it‘s almost insane what Klopp gets away with compared to Mourinho?

11 goals conceded after 6 games

Never change, Kloppers.
TBF, that was good defensive work from Migs: Stopped a goal scoring chance, but not being sent off, then saved the obvious in the middle of the goal penalty shot from Vardy. Perfect plan.

I'm guessing there will be no mention of the penalty Leicester should have had?
Danny Murphy who was surprisingly gushing about united to be fair, said it’s down to “interpretation” of the law.

It was a pen every day of the week if they hadn’t just had one.

It was a clear cut penalty from the replays, with clear commentary on it and it was clearly discussed that it was not given because both the ref and linesman did not have a clear line of sight to clearly give it. It's called football.

Is this clear now or are we still going to have clarity issues?

It´s hard to tell. I don´t know of any other message board that has devoted 15.000 posts to the manager of another team. This seems a slightly unhealthy obsession. :houllier:

Klopp: 193 points in 108 games = 1.79 PPG
Rodgers: 290 points in 166 games = 1.75 PPG
Moyes: 90 points in 51 games = 1.76 PPG

Klopp is winning the league of fools at least.
Does that apply points to cup games too?

And yet you add another post that doesn‘t even try to answer the question asked. You and the rest of the Klopp lovers can seriously just piss off.

15.000 posts about a hated opponents manager on my favourite club’s forum makes way more sense to me than joining an opponents forum because your world beating club doesn‘t even have a handful of supporters that have the mental capabilities to run a forum of their own. fecking deluded bunch, every single one of you!

Of course this thread has more posts than Rival forums would do about Jose.

Redcafe has far more traffic than the likes of RAWK so it's only naturally that more is posted on it.

Swings and roundabouts, we don't always get decisions going our way. Other times we get away with one same as everyone else.

It´s the 2nd largest active thread on Redcafe´s football forum alongside two more threads about Liverpool. Yes you people are a bit obsessed with the guy. Then the Rodgers thread is pretty big, too. Maybe you just have a general obsession with Liverpool managers. :D

How often did you mention that Mignolet was blantantly fouled by Okazaki before the 1-2. Clearly the worst decision of the whole match going against Liverpool.

Eh? Among the top 10 posters 6 are Liverpool fans, if you go for top 20 you'll easily get 5-6 more Liverpool fans.

So what you are saying is Liverpool fans are obsessed about posting on Redcafe about their manager.

I didn't know you could see that. I'm number two  (screw you @Rafateria ).
