Not sure there's anyway to undersell the drama to unfold on Sunday in Barcelona, both for the city & club

Gorka did some nice saves. We still need to win something.

I haven't watched the game today, but a 2:0 win is great. Sevilla had an easy list of fixture so far but 16 out of 21 points is still a good start. Surprisingly the defense is very solid and the team conceded just three goals in the league so far. The attack is still work in progress, but there is visible improvement. Hopefully toto learned the lesson that he shouldn't play with two traditional wingers. The attack is so much better with at least one guy cutting in. Correa is stepping up, which is good to see with nolito suffering from injuries. Navas and sarabia are both reliable options.
Ben yedder might follow the proud tradition of CFs that really improve in their second season while Muriel could turn out to be quite special.
Vasquez and mkd are both struggling to find form, which means we are a bit light in midfield. Hopefully both can grow into the season.
Now a tougher run of games is ahead and we'll see if the team is ready for that.

I don't watch Liga much tbh, but seen Atletico twice this week, and they've looked pants both times. Are they actually this crap this year?

Carvajal ruled out for a month and a half thanks to an infection. Achraf might get some chances at right back for Madrid now.

Quite incredible how many injuries and suspensions Madrid have had at the start of the season. Aren't both of their left backs injured too? They'll be regretting that they sold Danilo.
Out indefinitely, very serious thing as it affected his heart

And no, i'm not regretting selling Danilo, bit i am regretting letting go of Pepe.

Hopefully carvajal will make a full recovery and this won't affect his career long term

The doctors say that it's a complication of an ordinary virus and that he should get back to normal once he recovers from the virus. Treatment is apparently ibuprofen and rest, but obviously they will be very cautious with him.
Hope so :)

Our win 2-0 in the first round against Betis doesn't look too shabby now.
