Only Spurs could get a result in Turin when nobody gave them a chance; score first in the second leg, have one foot in the quarter finals with less than a third of the game to go... And still end up being dumped out of the competition. Reminds me of the time they finished third in a two-horse race.

Never change, my little Spudoodies.

Don't think we can laugh much.

They play much much better football than us and we probably would've done worse than them against Juve.

Not trying to be negative but let's call a spade a spade, they play better football than us.
True they play better football. They also lack bottle and fold repeatedly at the business end of tournaments. They conceded some awful goals in both the matches which they dominated for large parts. Let’s call a spade a spade and Spud a Spud until then.

We are struggling against the mighty Seville after splashing near a billion pounds. They spend almost nothing and play better than us. We can't laugh.
If it was the first time they bottled it, maybe not so... If you're so consistent in it and do it in spectacular fashion like they do, yeah, you can.

They bottled us over the head a couple of games ago.

I really don't get the laughter. As some have pointed out they have actually had a very good CL campaign and have punched above their weight this season with the majority of their results including beating Real at home. They are still learning and have visibly taken steps forward from their lackluster campaign last season.

They are still a very young side and if they can keep the core of that side together next season and add one or two players to the mix we should see progression again from them next season.

I really don't understand the clowning, they have had a relatively very good showing in the CL this season.

Juve are an excellent team and Spurs almost beat them. I wouldn't fancy us to play anywhere near as well as Spurs against Juve. Good showing overall for them.

Is there some unwritten law that you can't laugh at another team if they're subjectively "better"? Like feck, enjoy being dry shites but we're still going to laugh at them despite ye.

They can pretend to be a big club but unless they add real trophies (not the league cup/fa cup crap) to their cabinet they are nothing. No one remembers progress, they rememver trophies

Not laughing. They massacred us a few games ago and I'm not sure we would do much better should we face Juve. Our defence lately can be a calamity at times and our attack depends on moments of brilliance from one of our great players up front rather than coherent attacking play.

Whilst I wasn’t happy with the performance in Seville they are unbeaten at home for over 30 games. Liverpool went there and drew this season.

It wasn’t the easy game everyone tries to make out even though it looked so much on paper.

I suppose only time will tell if it was a good result.

When the draw was announced I think most people picked Juve to go through.
cos spurs always bottles it.

Compared to last season finals team, Juve sold bonucci last summer and were without Dybala in the 1st leg and Mandzukic in the second. Spurs played better and should have beaten them.

As to Madrid, playing group stages and knockout are different beasts. If spurs met Madrid in the knockout round, they would still be eliminated like PSG.

Spurs have the skill but simply lack the required mentality to compete at this stage

It's just bizarre. Half the fun of football is lording it over other supporters.

Their not pretending to be a big club they are instead making strides toward becoming one and the steady progress they've made this season will surely stand them in good stead if they can make the CL again(which looks likely).

Good players do remember progress and the lessons of close failures and whilst they do need a trophy, they do - in contrast to their north London rivals - look like a club making progress toward that goal year upon year.

Ive yet to hear former players being proud of the progress their club made during their time there. Ultimately they care of the medals they won although many might sell their own mum for more money. Spurs provide neither of the two

With the big guns circling around kane and co i would be surprised if their team will keep 'progressing' for long.

Harsh ... but probably true. They played 2 games against real, juve and dortmund and gave a good account of themselves. Not a bad season for supporters.

You know that we're doing better than them in ALL competitions, right? And that last season we won 2 trophies to their 0?

Oh well, at least they won the jizz fest of the year award for that 2-2 in Turin.

I think Spurs played really well tonight, felt they were the better side. The competition is unforgiving and we could go out on Tuesday, if we don't make it count when we are on top. Do feel a bit sorry for some of the Spurs fans in here, except Glaston.

Agree with Chiellini actually to an extent.

Spurs could do with more players who know how to win big games/trophies.

All of their best players haven’t won anything of note. It’s a skill knowing how to win.

Yeah, joke security is out in full force tonight. I guess you can't laugh at anyone else in the league if you support West Brom.

A lot of fun can be had in laughing at other clubs when they lose, so we sure as hell can.
